Nexon Creating LEGO RPG Mobile Game

Nexon, who makes some very popular role-playing MMO games like MapleStory and Dragon Nest, will be collaborating with LEGO and TT Games to create a new LEGO RPG mobile game for Android and iOS devices. This new RPG will be based on various LEGO themes including Ninjago. Nexon president and CEO stated:

“LEGO is among the most wildly successful and iconic brands of our time, and we are thrilled to be teaming up with TT Games to bring Lego-based online games to mobile gamers. Players can look forward to the fun and unique game experiences that Nexon is known for, along with the Lego characters they have come to love. This agreement is the most recent example of Nexon’s ongoing quest for creative, new ideas for great games, both through our own development and by partnering with other creators of world-class IP.”

Nexon has somewhat been involved with LEGO since 2013 when founder Jung-Ju “Jay” Kim purchased BrickLink and his team has been making changes to the site since to make it more updated. The new LEGO RPG is expected to be released in 2016 and will initially be available in Asia which is the norm if you’ve play any Nexon games before. I’ve personally played both MapleStory and Dragon Nest and I can say that they are very addicting games so hopefully this new LEGO game will follow in their footsteps.

LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin Video Game Announced

LEGO Ninjago Shadow of Ronin

To celebrate International Ninja Day, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, and LEGO has announced their latest game for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS, LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin which will be released in Spring 2015.

“LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin will be the most expansive adventure game through the Ninjago universe that we have ever made to-date,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games. “Kids will get a kick out of playing as their favorite Ninja warriors battling a new enemy with an exciting array of cool vehicles, mechs and even dragons!”

There is a new threat in Ninjago, and his name is Ronin. With help from his army of dark samurai, Ronin steals the Ninjas’ memories using an ancient weapon called the Obsidian Glaive. The Ninjas forget how to use their elemental powers, and it is up to the players to help them find their Obsidian weapons, regain their memories and reclaim their powers before Ronin completes his plan and releases an even greater evil on Ninjago.

In LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin players will battle through iconic locales from the TV series, including the Ice Temple, the Toxic Bogs, and a mysterious new island, as well as visit the mountain village of Spinjago, where the Ninjas are currently training with Grand Sensei Dareth and Sensei Wu. Using their Spinjitzu abilities, players can unleash their Ninja’s elemental power to smash their way through enemies and solve puzzles. They can even team up and create multi-elemental builds using the Tornado of Creation.

Yesterday, Warner Bros. announced the cast for the upcoming DC Suicide Squad movie and TT Games has announced their DLC, The Squad Pack. This DLC will feature members of the Suicide Squad, although they renamed it since this is a child friendly game, including Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, El Diablo, and Amanda Waller.

If you’ve already purchased the Season Pass, it will be available to download in the near future. If you haven’t, you can purchase it separately for $2.99. Below is the official description of The Squad DLC pack:

In The Squad add-on content pack, a mysterious figure has infiltrated Belle Reve Penitentiary, and it’s up to players to smash their way through the prison as Deadshot, Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang and other members of The Squad to hunt down this infiltrator before Amanda Waller’s—and The Squad’s—secrets are uncovered.

The DLC Season Pass allows players to access The Squad and other add-on content packs, including Man of Steel, Dark Knight, Batman 75th, Arrow and Bizarro World as they become available. It seems that the characters in the Bizarro World DLC Pack comes from the upcoming LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League vs Bizarro League original movie. If that is the case, the alter version of Cyborg, Cyzarro, should also be included in the DLC Pack.

For the Heroines & Villainesses DLC Pack, Plastique will be included. At Brick 2014 over in the UK, they have also revealed Terra and Vixen for this pack. This DLC will be a free one that anyone can download sometime in the future. There is still no word at this time when all the DLCs noted in this … Continue
