LEGO The Simpsons Series 2 Minifigures (71009) Feel Guide

LEGO The Simpsons Minifigures Series 2 (71009)

Now that the LEGO The Simpsons Series 2 Minifigures (71009) have been officially revealed, it’s time to do our best to help you guys figure out which minifigures are in each packet with this handy feel guide. Although this wave of LEGO The Simpsons Minifigures has lots of new characters for you to find, they seem to be a little harder to feel than the first series given the assortment of parts that are available with the characters.

The LEGO The Simpsons Series 2 Minifigures (71009) will be available on May 1st but as usual, some retailers like Toys R Us, Walgreens, Walmart, and Target will probably be selling them mid-to-late April.

1. Homer

You would think that the 2×2 tile would be an easy giveaway to finding Homer but think again since there are five other characters that have a similar part. His round head is the thing you should be feeling for while confirming with the tile piece.

2. Marge

Marge should be fairly easy to find with her long, distinct head/hair piece.

3. Lisa

Lisa’s cat, Snowball II, would be the easiest thing to feel for since her head piece is really similar to Maggie’s.

4. Maggie

Maggie’s head is almost identical to Lisa’s so you should be feeling for Santa’s Little Helper. Her body is also a good indicator because it is just one piece that is uniquely shaped.

5. Bartman

Bartman is really easy to find with his spiky head piece. The slingshot is also helpful.

6. Fallout Boy

First “Official” Look at LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart (71016)

LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart (71016)

It looks like Yahoo screwed up today and has given our “official” first look at the new LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart (71016). The information and images came from a cached page that was inadvertently put up.

The LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart (71016) contains 2,179 pieces and will retail for $199.99. The set will basically open up like with The Simpsons House (71006) to see the details inside of the convenience store. Apu will have a new store shirt which is different from his usual attire. You also will get a sticker of Jasper as Frostillicus to make it look like he’s frozen inside the freezer.

From what we know now, the Kwik-E-Mart (71016) will be available to LEGO VIP members from April 15-30 and to the general public on May 1st.

This means that the official official reveal of the set by LEGO will be very soon with more images and the designer video to go along with it.

Update: Yahoo’s page of the set reveal is now live. LEGO has also officially revealed the set.

LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart (71016) Confirmed and Image

Back in October of last year, we exclusively reported that the LEGO The Simpsons line would be releasing another set this year with the Kwik-E-Mart (71016). Many people were skeptical about the set but we were pretty confident in our source of the news.

Today, there is definite confirmation in the set because there is a leaked image of the box coming from an Instagram post. As you can see, some of the minifigures included in the set are at least Apu, Marge, Chief Wiggum, and Snake who we saw before with the head mold image. In addition to the Kwik-E-Mart building itself, the set also includes Chief Wiggum’s police car. Also note that the E on the store sign is brick built while the other words are stickers.

According to the April 2015 LEGO Store Calendar, there is an exclusive set being released for LEGO VIP members from April 15-30 and I believe that it will be indeed the LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart (71016) and will be released to the general public on May 1st. The official images of the set will be out in a few weeks.

So what are your guys’ thoughts on the set now that you seen a little teaser image of it?

LEGO The Simpsons The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop Coming in 2016?

Worst. Creation. Ever.

The year 2015 has just barely started but there’s already news for some 2016 stuff. Seriously?!? Anyways, Groove Bricks is reporting that the LEGO The Simpsons sets will be continuing next year with The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop, otherwise known as the Comic Book Shop.

GB’s anonymous “source” has stated that it’ll be available next year with a price tag of $200. I’m not sure how credible this information is since I haven’t heard or read anything from the usual sources so take this info with a grain of salt. This might be jumping the gun just a tiny bit since the set for this year hasn’t even come out yet.

We already know that the LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart (71016) will be available in April early for LEGO VIP members and to the general public in May. If the above rumor is true, LEGO will be releasing a set every year for the foreseeable future until their license with 20th Century Fox runs out.

So there you have it. You guys think this could be happening or are you squinting your eye like me and being pretty skeptical about it (for now)?

**Note: The above image is not the rumored The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop. It is actually a MOC by Matt “Pepa Quin” De Lanoy for his version of Springfield that was displayed at BrickWorld Chicago 2014.**
