If you were on the fence on getting into LEGO Dimensions, you’ll be happy to know that the current gen LEGO Dimensions Starter Packs are 44% off including the PlayStation 4 version with the Supergirl minifigure while the last gen starter packs are 50% off the normal price. This is also good timing especially with the Wave 6 expansion packs coming out tomorrow.
So who’s excited for the new expansion packs and which ones are you guys picking up?
In just two days, Wave 6 of the new LEGO Dimensions expansion packs will be available. These expansions packs wil have new licenses coming to the game including Adventure Time, Harry Potter, Mission Impossible, and the A-Team. Also being released is the PlayStation 4 Starter Pack which includes the exclusive Supergirl minifigure.
The new Toys R Us ad for the week of 9/25-10/1 is now available and as I expected, the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens First Order General (5004406) minifigure polybag will be available for free with purchases of any LEGO Star Wars set of $30 or more. This offer is only available in stores and if you have a lenient one, you can probably purchase it by itself for $4.99. If there’s any left over by next Sunday, they’ll be available for purchase regularly. If you can’t find it, they’re probably hiding behind the counters. The TRU item number for the polybag is 553205.
If you missed out on the LEGO Disney Princess building event for Lumiere at Toys R Us earlier today, a reader was kind enough to email us the instructions for the build as well as the sticker for the face. I’ve also posted the instructions for Cogsworth if you want to build that too as well.
It was December 4, 2014 when Carl Greatrix submitted his Caterham Super Seven project on LEGO Ideas. Fast forward to May 2015 when the project hit 10,000 supporters and was approved to become an official LEGO Ideas set a year later. The Caterham Seven 620R (21307) was announced last week and the folks over at LEGO has sent us a review copy of the set. Coming at 771 pieces and retailing for $79.99, it is the largest Ideas set in terms of piece count as well as being the most expensive one to be released so far. The contents of the box include six numbered bags and the instruction booklet.
The Boat Repair Shop by RobenAnne is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. This is also the first project to make it the Third 2016 Review Stage.
If this project looks familiar, that is because RobenAnne also created the Old Fishing Store which also hit 10,000 supporters back in January and this project is a follow up to it. Like with the previous one, the Boat Repair Shop is also modular and has lots of features such as the boat ramp with a crane, work floor, and a storage attic.
If you didn’t see our post of the November 2016 LEGO Store Calendar, there are some pretty cool promotional gift with purchases during the month including the exclusive limited edition Snowglobe (40223). The Snowglobe was actually revealed way back in January and even the instuctions were available for a short time before being taken down.
The Snowglobe (40223) has the same aesthetics as a normal snowglobe with Santa and a Christmas tree being the centerpiece. The bottom area is actually a storage area that you can pull out using white plates with handle to put your keepsakes in.
The Snowglobe will only be available during Brick/Black Friday/Cyber Monday, November 25-28 with purchases of $99 or more, while supplies last. I have a feeling that it won’t last all four days at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home so if you plan on making a purchase, do it early during the promotional timeframe. Also, this if for North America and I’m not sure when Europe will have their turn.
