The LEGO Movie How It Should Have Ended

There is a new video from the web series How It Should Have Ended in conjunction with Brotherhood Workshop which features The LEGO Movie. Superman and Batman are at a restaurant and Superman discusses why he and other Super Heroes and Master Builders were taken out so easily. He notes that he should have broken out of the gum and used his powers to defeat the worker drone army and save the day. Check out the hilarious video below with a cameo by Green Lantern.

LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108) Box Art and Set Comparison

Brent Waller has recently received his copy of the official LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108) set and he has uploaded images comparing his LEGO CUUSOO/Ideas project to the official set designed by Marcos Bessa. As we mentioned yesterday the Ecto-1 will be available on June 1st for $49.99. We can now see the official packaging of the set which looks freaking amazing and no longer has the LEGO CUUSOO branding. The back of the box shows the car as well as Ray, Peter, and Winston crossing the streams of their particle beams. The back of the box also commemorates the 30th anniversary of the movie. Check out the images of the original project submission (left) and official set (right) below.

LEGO Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles Premieres This Weekend

LEGO Star Wars The New Yoda Chronicles

Last year, we were introduced to the LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles which was a four part animated series on Cartoon Network. We were also introduced to a new character named Jek-14 who as a Force-sensitive Sith clone created by Count Dooku.

There is now a new Disney series that is renamed to LEGO Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles which is set to air this Saturday on Disney Channel at 9pm ET/PT and Sunday on Disney XD at 7pm ET/PT. Watch Disney XD users will get a first look at the episode tomorrow, Friday May 2nd. The New Yoda Chronicles has the same kind humor as previous LEGO Star Wars shows. The first episode is titled “Escape from the Jedi Temple.”

As seen in the trailer, the Emperor debuts his new theme — “The Imperial March” — and doesn’t react well at its lukewarm reception. Han, Chewie, Luke, Leia, Yoda, and the entire gang (including a blaster-toting C-3PO) are back, ready to take on Darth Vader and the Empire.

LEGO Minifigures – The Simpsons Series (71005) Review

Last year, it was rumored that The LEGO Group was negotiating a licensing agreement with 20th Century Fox to produce sets based on The Simpsons animated cartoon series. Some people in the LEGO community applauded this move while others did not approve of this. Fast forward to this year, LEGO released The Simpsons House (71006) back in February and today, LEGO has released a line of LEGO Minifigures based on the popular TV series. The official name for this series is LEGO Minifigures – The Simpsons Series (71005).

ReBrick LEGO Pirates “Name That Ship” Contest Winner Announced

Early last month, we reported that ReBrick was having a contest called “Name That Ship” to name the next LEGO Pirates ship. Today on their blog, they have announced the winner of the contest is legobuffproductions with the new pirate ship called The Brick Bounty. He will receive a signed version of the set when it is available in 2015. The criteria used to pick the winner was that the name was:

In line with the values and identity of the LEGO brand.

Solid ties to the heritage of classic LEGO Pirate ships.

Appealing across genders, age, and languages.

Now the speculation begins on what the Pirate ship looks like as well as if there will be more coming out for the Pirates theme.
