A couple years ago, a Japanese builder who goes by Talapz, created a LEGO Pop-up Kinkaku-ji, a Temple of the Golden Pavilion, and posted it on YouTube, which has gained over a million views. He is back and has created another pop-up model, the Todai-ji including the Daibutsu (Eastern Great Temple with The Great Buddha). This model took Talapz 9 months to create and used around 8800 pieces. When folded together, it is approximately 96mm thick and about 48mm opened. If you want to create your own, he has also provided instructions at the end on how to make your own popup model.

Over on Rebelscum, a user by the name of rgeezzy has gotten their hands on what could the Pong Krell minifigure from the LEGO Star Wars Z-95 Headhunter (75004) set or it could be just a custom minifigure to trick people. We cannot verify that it’s the real thing since we can’t see clearly of the boxart of the set to compare them. Judge for yourself. The user has also posted an image of some of the new Clone Troopers as well as a Sith Trooper.

Update: There’s also another image of Pong Krell that has popped up on Eurobricks posted by CM4S.
Update 2: David, aka legoboy12345678, has gotten in contact with an associate and will be getting one by the end of week and will be showcasing it on his YouTube channel.

Update 3: lego*dudes is now selling the Pong Krell minifigure on their eBay store and lists more than 10 are available. Still not sure how the seller is getting them.

With so many 2013 LEGO set minifigures showing up on eBay, it’s no surprise that you might find some minifigs from the Legends of Chima line. lego*dudes has posted a few auctions of Enis, Watz, as well as Winzar in their store. If you can’t wait until next year to pick up these minifigs, here’s your best chance to get them.

First images of the new minifigures from the LEGO Galaxy Squad have shown up on eBay! lego*dudes, the source of many of the unreleased 2013 minifigures, is selling a red alien beetle-like insect, probably from the Space Swarmer (70700) set, as well as a green alien mosquito most likely from the Swarm Interceptor (70701) or the Warp Stinger (70702) sets.

The red beetle minifigure has a very nice looking red exoskeleton with a great beetle head. For the green mosquito minifigure, it’s pretty much what you see from a mosquito. Even though the head is put on backwards, we can see it has a darkish green body with a fairly transparent neon green wing piece. The head has some very bulging eyes and a long proboscis. From the looks of it, these insects won’t be able to turn their heads due to the head molds. The LEGO Galaxy Squad theme looks to be a huge hit from the initial impressions of the minifigures.

Last week, we posted an image of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 9 Dr. Splitz minifigure. This week, we get to see a picture of the new Chicken Suit Guy. This image is courtesy of Bilko on Brickset from the UK LEGO Club Magazine. This minifigure continues the long going series of characters in costumes joining the Gorilla Suit Guy, the Lizard Man, and the Bunny Suit Guy.

If you’re planning on picking up the new LEGO Lord of the Rings video game for the Xbox 360, you might want to open it up in the store before you go home. GameInformer is reporting that certain shipments of the game contain a demo disc of the game instead of the actual game. So far, this issue is only affecting the Xbox version and not the PS3 version. If you’ve preordered the Xbox version to get the Elrond minifigure today, check your game or else you’ll have an expensive demo and minifig on your hands.
Update: Although the discs are marked a demo, some of them might be the full game. IGN has gotten their hands on one of these “demo” discs and confirmed that the are actually the full game.
