LEGO and IKEA has officially revealed their new collaboration project with BYGGLEK which was announced in June 2018. The collection aims to encourage more play around the home. We’ve already got a first look at it a few months ago when it was put out early but BYGGLEK will be available starting on October 1 in North America and throughout Europe.

The LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294) is now available for purchase on Shop@Home. The set has 295 pieces and retails for $39.99. It is an event item for the now cancelled Star Wars Celebration 2020 convention and won’t be available outside of North America. Fans in Canada are also able to get it as well. Bespin Duel recreates the iconic scene on Cloud City from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back where Luke learns that Darth Vader is his father.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Gameplay Tomorrow at Gamescom 2020

Gamescom 2020 kicks off tomorrow and Geoff Keighley from Summer Game Fest has revealed that there will finally be world premiere gameplay of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. There has been not that much information about the game since it was announced at E3 last year but we finally get to see something tangible.

There also hasn’t been any official word on a release date but it is rumored to be October 20. So far the only exclusive is from Best Buy where you can get the Han Solo Carbonite SteelBook Case.

LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294) Classified as Event Item

We just got confirmation that the LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294) is also classified as an event item and therefore won’t be available outside of North America. This set is a Star Wars Celebration 2020 exclusive which was meant to be sold at the convention but since it has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, LEGO will have to sell their stock somewhere.

LEGO Shop@Home will starting selling the set on August 27 which was supposed to be the first day of Star Wars Celebration but Target will have it for sale a day early which will be tomorrow. There’s no set time of when Target will launch it but it is usually in the mornings. Also the one at Target is a RedCard exclusive so you’ll need their card to be able to purchase it. I’ll try to post when it goes live but if not, keep an eye on my social media channels. For you Canadian fans, places that I heard will be selling it are Benjo and Toys R Us Canada. Again if you are able to, try to help out your fellow overseas LEGO fan since they can’t secure one as easily.

LEGO DC FanDome Wonder Woman (77906) Classified as Event Item

LEGO has released a statement regarding the LEGO DC FanDome Wonder Woman (77906) set which went on sale this past weekend here in the US. The set is classified as an “event item” and not a regional exclusive. It was indeed supposed to be a San Diego Comic Con 2020 exclusive and DC FanDome was a way for LEGO to sell the set but fans were disappointed that it would not be sold outside of the US. LEGO has also updated the wording on Shop@Home to clarify it as well. Pre-orders can still be placed on it at Shop@Home and on Walmart.com and it will ship on October 1.

There’s no word yet on if the LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294) is classified as an event item as well but I’m guessing it will be.

It turns out this set was originally going to be the 2020 San Diego Comic Con exclusive. Since that SDCC was canceled they found this weekends event provided a relevant opportunity to release the set. While the new virtual DC event was global, the product was not produced to be global and will therefore only be available to be in the US. There was consideration that this appeared to be a regional exclusive set but it is actually an event item. The set is also being sold on Walmart.com but this appears to be US shipping limitation as well.
