LEGO’s new book that will be publishing with Unbound called The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks has been fully funded. This means when the pre-orders are done in 2021, it will go in production shortly after and will be shipped in Spring 2022. You can still pledge your support for it and as an incentive, your name will be printed in the supporter section of the book. There are still some bonuses left, most of which are limited edition prints.

LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294) Shipping Confirmations Being Sent Out

For those who ordered the LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294) on Shop@Home, LEGO is now sending out shipping confirmations for the set. I had a few comments come in saying that the status of the set went to “out of stock” and were worried that their order may have been cancelled. I also had the same thing happen to me but I’m happy to see that it was just a minor glitch in the system. If you missed out on it, Target is still selling it but you will need a RedCard to purchase it.

Adam Savage Finishes Sorting His LEGO Collection

Back in May, Tested’s Adam Savage started his project of sort his LEGO collection. In his latest One Day Build episode, the timelapse shows him sorting his massive pile of LEGO bricks into ArtBin. The collection of bricks are sorted by color in 32 ArtBins. As of right now, all his LEGO is finally sorted but he still needs to put them away in his shop which will most likely be another video. During the quarantine, did any of you guys make time to sort your LEGO collection as well?

LEGO Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures (71028) Series 2 Box Distribution Completely Random

The Series 2 LEGO Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures (71028) officially releases in a few days but if you’re planning to purchase a full box, there’s a warning that you should know about. Usually we can expect three complete sets per box for a particular series, but things have changed for this wave. There are multiple reviews online now and we can pretty much confirm that the box distribution is completely random.

Some fan media sites like Brickset and Promobricks has opened full boxes and what they got were very different from each other. For example, Brickset got seven Griphooks while Promobricks got zero Ron Weasley minifigures and eight Hermione. Over on YouTube, an example is that someone got five Neville minifigures.

This is the first time since I’ve gotten back in the hobby that I can not report on a set distribution rate for the minifigures because I simply can’t. I don’t know why LEGO changed it but this change could affect future minifigures series as well. If you’re looking to get them, I suggest purchasing a complete set from an independent shop or if you can safely do it, feel for them yourselves individually.

LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) Set Name Change Coming to North America?

A few readers have noticed that the LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) has been removed from Shop@Home. This probably means that there might a set name change coming soon for it like with the European versions of the set which is now called The Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Transport. In Europe, the term “Razor Crest” isn’t trademarked by Lucasfilms but by Michael Gaßmann who owns a site called Modbrix which is using the term to sell a MOC of the Razor Crest.

There could be a lengthy legal battle going on in Europe between Lucasfilms and Modbrix for the use of the term and LEGO may simply not deal with it and just change the name to something more generic. This name change may have a ripple effect on the North American version of the set as well and hence the product page takedown. I wouldn’t be too surprised if the page comes back up in a day or two with the new set name. Note that Amazon still has their product listing up with the Razor Crest name.

Update: It looks like North America will indeed have the name change. Below is an image of the US pre-order on Shop@Home which has the new set name. Thanks to Mike for the image.
