More LEGO Star Wars Solo: A Star Wars Story Sets Revealed

LEGO Star Wars Solo: A Star Wars Story Imperial AT-Hauler (75219)

Even though I’m a Star Wars fan, admittedly, I have not seen Solo: A Star Wars Story, however, there are new official images of a few more LEGO Star Wars sets for the movie. Again, I don’t have any context for the sets but those who have already watched the movie know what scenes they are portraying.

LEGO Star Wars SDCC 2018 Millennium Falcon Cockpit (75512) Revealed

LEGO has revealed one of the upcoming San Diego Comic Con 2018 exclusive sets with the LEGO Star Wars Solo Millennium Falcon Cockpit (75512). The set has 203 pieces and will retail for $40 at the convention. There’s no word of if it’ll be using the same process as before in the Sails Pavilion or if it’ll use the new lottery system. I’ll be trying to get it once SDCC starts so hopefully luck is on my side. Stay tuned for more LEGO SDCC 2018 reveals in the next few days.

LEGO DC Kingdom Come SDCC 2018 Set by Alex Ross

San Diego Comic Con 2018 is only a few short weeks away and like with previous years, LEGO has a pretty big presence at the event. The thing that fans have been waiting for are the exclusive sets and minifigures that are available at the convention. We’re still a couple of weeks away from those reveals as LEGO likes to keep them close to the chest but it there is something interesting that has popped up online not by LEGO but by another exhibitor.

Alex Ross has posted the above image on Facebook with the caption “New- Kingdom come- LEGO set #sdcc”. If you’re not familiar with Alex Ross, he is the writer and illustrator for the four-issue series Kingdom Come from 1996 and the image is a “set” based on the comic. The image features the iconic cover, in a way, and has custom minifigures of the Alan Scott Green Lantern, The Spectre, Wonder Woman, Superman, Norman McCay, Batman, and the Wallace West Flash.

There’s no confirmation that this is something that will be sold at SDCC by LEGO or by Alex Ross himself. It is curious because he did use the SDCC hashtag in the caption but I’m not sure what this means. It could mean that he may just be displaying it there for show or we’re just be looking too much into it. We’ll definitely know if this is an exclusive in a few weeks when more SDCC exclusives are announced so stay tuned for that. Thanks to everyone who messaged in … Continue

LEGO Minifigure Factory Debuts in Denmark

LEGO Minifigure Factory

Here’s something really cool that debuted at the Copenhagen LEGO Brand Store earlier today. LEGO fans love customizing their minifigures and LEGO has introduced the Minifigure Factory which allows fans to customize the design of a minifigure torso and print them directly onsite. The cost is 30DKK which is about $5 and the invention is by designer Jens Hjorth who has shared the project on Facebook. It has taken 18 months for the LEGO Minifigure Factory to come to fruition and it is currently doing a test run for two days in Denmark.

LEGO Minifigure Factory

From the looks of it, the Minifigure Factory has some premade designs to choose from for the front and back of the torsos. It doesn’t look like you have the option to upload your own design. It also looks like the machine can print a number of minifigures at the same time but it also means that you’ll probably have to wait until the machine fills up before it runs so it can be more efficient.

There’s no word yet on whether or not it will launch globally but hopefully the test run is successful so we can get them in every LEGO store. If you’ve been following my posts, you would know that the LEGO Mosaic Maker has finally made it to the United States so it’ll be quite a while before we see the Minifigure Factory over here if LEGO does decide to launch it worldwide.

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) Rumored to be Microscale

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Great Hall (75954)

Way back in October of last year, I talked about a Direct-to-Consumer LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) that was slated to come out later this year. Many speculated that it would be UCS scale but there are now rumors that it may not be that. Just2Good and another close source is now saying that the Hogwarts Castle will be a microscale set similar to the size of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier (76042) with microfigures. Obviously this is not what fans were imagining but we’ll just have to wait and see and make a judgement when it is announced. Keep in mind that we’re already getting the 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall (shown above) which is reported to be coming out in a few short weeks.

Thanks to those who emailed in about this. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Sets Reported to be Released in July

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Whomping Willow (75953)

When the upcoming LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter sets were announced back in February, the press release said that they were slated to be released in August but things might have changed. I’ve heard from a few sources, including Eurobricks, that they might be available a month early starting in July instead of August. Some of the sets are already available in the UK so this means that the release date has been pushed up. We’ll see at the end of the month if they start showing up at retailers like Walmart and Target. If a LEGO Store Employee can confirm this, let us know in the comments below.
