Bad guys are on the loose again and heading for the mountains, which means the LEGO City Mountain Police are on the case! Use LEGO bricks and clever Minifigure photography to showcase the great chase between the officers and the crooks in the mountains. It’s the classic tale of good and bad in LEGO City, here’s your chance to show us your photography and building skills!

LEGO to be Featured in The Toys That Made Us

One of the shows I’ve been enjoying on Netflix is the new documentary series, The Toys That Made Us. They’ve already shown a couple of episodes featuring some important toy lines including Star Wars, Barbie, He-Man, and G.I. Joe. I was talking to a few friends and was wondering if LEGO was going to be an episode since it was a revolutionary toy back in the day. I was skeptical because there’s so many other toys that were made in the past that may have been more popular than LEGO and it may not have made the cut.

Well it looks like I don’t have to worry about LEGO not becoming an episode because it looks like the company will be featured in one of the upcoming episodes of season two. It’ll be a while for the episode to air on Netflix because they’ve stated on their Facebook Page that it will be about four months before the show resumes.

In other news, it looks like they may have gotten some shots from Bricks LA this past weekend because I see fellow SandLUG member Miro Dudas being featured in one of their photos. I wonder if they have also taken a trip to Billund for some shots of the LEGO headquarters for the episode as well.

LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle (21313) Officially Announced

LEGO has officially revealed the next LEGO Ideas set that will be available in stores and on Shop@Home and that is the Ship in a Bottle. Retailing at US $69.99 – CA $89.99 – DE 69.99€ – UK £69.99 – DK 599.00 DKK, the set has 962 pieces and will be available starting on February 1. There will be no VIP early access for it.

The original Ship in a Bottle project by JakeSadovich77 achieved 10,000 supporters back in Dec 23, 2016. The design of the set is a little smaller than the one proposed due mainly with the ship and the bottle itself. It’s hard to tell but I think the 2×2 wax seal tile and the 2×4 Leviathan nameplate tile are printed pieces. Check out more details and images of the set below.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2018 Black Panther Amazon Sales

Marvel’s Black Panther comes out next month and LEGO has released a couple of sets to accompany the movie. They were officially available at the beginning of the year but they are already on sale on Amazon.

The Rhino Face-Off by the Mine (76099) is on sale for $15.99 which is 20% off the regular price of $19.99. This makes the set even more attractive with the all the minifigures being exclusive along with the rhino legs and the new track pieces.

The Royal Talon Fighter Attack (76100) is also on sale for $23.99 (20% off) from the normal price of $29.99. Again, all of the minifigures are exclusive.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) Available Again in US/Canada

I posted this on social media but I feel I should make a real post for it for more reach. The LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) is now available again for purchase in the US as well as in Canada on Shop@Home. I’m not sure much inventory LEGO has at this point but I’ve already had a few readers pick it up. Too bad there’s no more of the black VIP cards to go with it.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Amazon Sales

The 2018 LEGO Star Wars sets have just officially hit stores about a week ago but there are already some sales on Amazon for a few of them. The main one is the Ahch-To Island Training (75200), which I’ve recently reviewed. It is currently at $23.99 (20% off) off the regular price of $29.99 and I feel that this is a good price for it.

The next set is the First Order AT-ST (75201). This set is priced at $31.99 (20% off) the regular price of $39.99. It is still a bit high for an unfinished AT-ST but your wallet won’t cry as much.

The last set is General Grievous’ Combat Speeder (75199). It is currently at $23.99 (20% off) the normal price of $29.99. Again, it’s still a bit high but there are some larger pieces in the set that cost more to produce.

As always, please use the links above as it does help support the site.
