LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Bricktober 2018 (5005256) Promotion Now Live

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Bricktober 2018 (5005256)

The gift-with-purchase promotion for the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Bricktober set is now live on Shop@Home. You can get it for free with purchases of $75 or more. This minifigure collection is the last one from last year’s wave. The promotion will run from now until March 10, while supplies last.

The Marvel minifigure collection contains minifigures of War Machine, Wong, Tony Stark, and Bucky Barnes. You can check out my review of the set here.

In addition, if you purchase the LEGO Creator Ford Mustang (10265), you’ll also get the promotional keychain as well so there’s a great reason to get this set in the next few days.

LEGO FORMA Building Instructions and Skin Templates

LEGO FORMA Koi (81000)

If you weren’t able to pre-order LEGO FORMA on Indiegogo last year, LEGO has finally provided the building instructions for the base set. In addition, you they have also provided some blank templates for the Koi skin as well as the Shark skin for you to create your own. Of course you’ll have to provide your own parts and the skins aren’t as high quality as if you had purchased it but at least LEGO was kind enough to get your started.

LEGO Seasonal Easter Chicken Pod (853958) Polybag Found

LEGO Seasonal Easter Chicken Pod (853958)

For the past few years, LEGO has released Seasonal “hut” sets with the last unreleased one being the Penguin Winter Hut (5005251) but it looks like LEGO has switched over to the “pods” this this year’s offerings. Over on Instagram, a user has found the Easter Chicken Pod (853958) at their LEGO Certified Store in Slovenia.

By using the pod, it allows for more playability as you can build on it unlike the huts where it was just a holder for the minifigure. For this one, there’s a skating ramp for a bunny on skates along with a yellow chicken minifigure also on skates.

There’s no word on availability at this time but I’ll let you know when those details are available. Thanks to C for the heads up a few days ago.

Chris McVeigh Joins the LEGO Creator Expert and Architecture Teams

Even though it’s still early morning, here’s your LEGO feel good story of the day. If you’ve been in the LEGO community on social media the past few years, you may have heard the name Chris McVeigh, aka PowerPig, float around. One of his most popular builds are the Brick Sketches of various characters that have been featured by LEGO before. Yesterday, he has announced that he has been hired on to the LEGO Creator Expert and Architecture teams and will begin work starting in March. This just goes to show that LEGO still continues to take notice of fan creations and you have a chance to get hired on if you work hard enough. I can’t wait to see what Chris has in store for us in the near future.
