LEGO Minecraft 2016 Set Details

The LEGO Minecraft theme will be continuing in 2016 with a few more of the minifigure-scale sets. CM4Sci on Eurobricks has posted the names of four sets that will be coming out next year. I don’t play Minecraft anymore but doing some research, the sets do sound interesting. Like with the current wave, there will be a few different biomes that will be played out in the new Minecraft sets.

The Iron Golem (21123)
The End Portal (21124)
The Jungle Tree House (21125)
The Wither (21126)

The Iron Golem set, you’ll probably be getting a few minifigures since the Iron Golem defends villages of at least 10 villagers. Obviously LEGO won’t be putting that many in a what I expect to be a smaller set but I think there will be a few.

The End Portal will probably contain a lot of gray parts with some green portals.

I think The Jungle Tree House is exactly what it sounds like. There will be some sort of house in a jungle setting so expect to see lots of trees and such.

Finally, The Wither is a floating, three-headed boss. It is created with soul sand in a T-shape and you put wither skeleton skulls at the top so I think there will be some wither skeleton minifigures in the set.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71010) Series 14 Monsters Giveaway #1

Do I smell a giveaway in the near future?

As you can see from the image above, I have a full box of the Series 14 Monsters LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71010). As we know by now, there are three complete sets of 16 minifigures in a full box and that is what I have in my possession. With that, I’ll be doing three separate giveaways until the rest of the year to three lucky fans for each set 16. The first giveaway will be in this post and the others will be held on Halloween, October 31 and on either Thanksgiving, November 26 or on Christmas, December 25. I haven’t decided on the last one yet.

To enter the giveaway, just use the Rafflecopter widget below. It’s pretty simple and straightforward and in two weeks, I’ll be randomly choosing a winner through the widget and that fan will be sent a set of 16 Monsters minifigs for free.

I didn’t feel like feeling for each minifigure so when you receive them, they will be opened but will have everything that should be there including the leaflets and the stands.

Good luck everyone and I would like to thank the LEGO CEE team for sending a box in for me to do this giveaway.

LEGO Seasonal Trick or Treat (40122) Review

LEGO Seasonal Trick or Treat (40122)

A few days ago, we got our first look at the new LEGO Seasonal Trick or Treat (40122) set. The set is officially available on September 1st but some LEGO Stores have started receiving their shipments of it. I’ve managed to purchase a set and here’s my review of it.

LEGO Seasonal Trick or Treat (40122)

The Trick or Treat set contains 133 pieces and retails for $9.99 like previous Seasonal sets. The contents of the box include three un-numbered bags, a small instruction booklet, and two loose dark green 4×8 plates.

What is Your Grail LEGO Set?

People collect LEGO for many reasons. Most people love to build the sets, others love creating MOCs. Many of us try to collect a certain theme whether it be Star Wars or Super Heroes, there’s always something out there for someone. While collecting sets, there might be some that many would consider the “Holy Grail” of LEGO sets.

So what constitutes as a “Grail?” It pretty much can be anything that one’s heart desires. It could be a set that someone has been on their radar for a long time. An obvious example that sticks out would be the UCS Millennium Falcon (10179) from 2007. However it doesn’t have to be a rare or an expensive set. It can also mean collecting every set that has been released for a certain theme. Grails doesn’t have a set definition and can change over time as it constantly evolves to our taste and personal opinions.

Identifying what a “Grail” is gets challenging when one attempts to apply a meaning to it. It could be defined by it’s rarity, for example, popular retired sets like the Cafe Corner and the Green Grocer modulars and the before-mentioned Millennium Falcon. For some, other items like Comic Con exclusives could also be considered due to their rarity. For me, my Grail was the Death Star (10188) but that was a few years ago when I got back into the hobby and have since purchased one. My Grail has now shifted to the ever-elusive UCS Millennium Falcon but it isn’t a high priority … Continue
