LEGO has released a press release on what we can expect at the New York Toy Fair starting tomorrow.
They have already done some reveals today including the Hogwarts Great Hall (75954) and the return of Harry Potter with the Wizarding World theme. There’s also the image reveals for the LEGO Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as well. Hopefully we’ll get to see more LEGO sets that we weren’t able to see before at the Nuremberg Toy Fair.

Just a short time ago, LEGO announced the return of the LEGO Harry Potter theme with the Hogwarts Great Hall (75954). At the same time at the 2018 New York Toy Fair, the LEGO Wizarding World theme was also announced. This theme will encompass both the original Harry Potter universe as well as Fantastic Beasts. In addition to the system sets, there will also be some LEGO BrickHeadz as well. The sets should start hitting shelves in August and we hope to see more at the Toy Faur this weekend. Way back in 2015, I reported that Warner Bros. was working on a new animated LEGO film called The Billion Brick Race. Originally, Jason Segel and Drew Pearce were on board to co-direct the film but was eventually replaced with The Book of Life’s Jorge R. Gutierrez in 2017. Fast forward to today where Gutierrez has announced that he has also left the project.

The Billion Brick Race is still tentatively scheduled for a 2019 release which also includes The LEGO Movie Sequel releasing in the same year. There’s no word from Warner Bros. whether or not any of the two movies will be pushed back at this time.
**Via Flickering Myth**
As tradition at the beginning of the year, LEGO releases a new modular building and for 2018, we have the LEGO Creator Downtown Diner (10260). I’ve read many comments saying that it is a substantial change from the architectural style we’ve had before but there are also fans that welcome the change as it is different from what we’ve previously gotten.
Late last year, I reported on some rumors for the summer 2018 wave of LEGO Star Wars sets and it looks like they have been confirmed by Promobricks. Although photography was not allowed there, they’ve managed to take somewhat detailed notes of some of the sets that we should be expecting later this year.

About the size of the Ahch-To Training set. Includes Yoda, Luke, and R2-D2 minifigures from Episode V: THe Empire Strikes Back. Has various play features to recreate the Jedi training scenes. The hut includes an interior with a kitchen and bed.
Some of the minifigures included are Antoc Merrick, Rose Tico, Rowan Freemaker, a Guavian Death Gang soldier, IG-88, a droid, and a snowman wearing a Rebel helmet. Some of the mini-builds include a Snowman, Luke’s Landspeeder, AT-ACT, Naboo Starfighter, First Order TIE Fighter, Moisture Vaporator, Anakin’s Jedi Starfighter, and a Rathtar.
This version is Anakin’s Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor from Star Wars: the Clone Wars. Minifigures include Anakin Skywalker and R2-D2. The set is similar to the 7669 version from 2008.

If you are a LEGO Black VIP Card holder or flagged account, you may have received an email regarding the first promotion LEGO will be having for members. The offer is basically double VIP points on all LEGO Star Wars purchases through the whole month of February. It’s nothing too spectacular since we already get a couple of Double Point events throughout the year but cardholders do get an extra month to rack up them points.
