We’re not even halfway into October but Christmas is in full swing at LEGO with the release of the first exclusive LEGO Seasonal promotional set with the Holiday Christmas Train (40138). This set is free with purchase of $99 or more at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home. It contains 233 pieces which is about double the size of exclusive Seasonal sets from previous years. The contents of the set include four un-numbered bags and the instructions booklet.
At the BricKorea fan event in South Korea, LEGO has officially announced the next modular to its popular lineup, the LEGO Creator Brick Bank (10251). The set contains 2,380 pieces and retails for $169.99 and will be in January 2016. Modular fans have been waiting for another corner building since 2013 when the Palace Cinema (10232) was released but we’ll be getting one at the beginning of the year. Note that these images are official and do not have watermarks but LEGO can decide to remove them from the servers at any time. Some of the images are system sets while some are promotional or polybag sets. What sets are you looking forward to? Update: LEGO has taken down all their links on their server but the good folks at Brickset had them backed up. Update 2: LEGO has begun telling sites to remove the images so I’ve complied to their wish. If you’re looking for them, they’re still out there on the web. You just have to find them. Earlier this year, I reported that the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes The Joker Bumper Car (30303) will be coming to Target stores sometime this year and it looks like they’ve finally showed up. There have been multiple reports that the polybag has been found on endcaps in the toy section as well as at checkout lanes for $3.99. The DPCI number for it is 204-00-0479 so you can use an inventory checker to see if there are any near your area. This is probably the cheapest way to get the Joker minifigure and the bumper car isn’t too bad either. Thanks to Dan for messaging this in. LEGO has officially reveal their big announcement at New York Comic Con 2015 which is their new IP, LEGO Nexo Knights. There will be 14 sets in the lineup that will go on sale in January as well as a TV series starting in December. The sets will range from $9.99 to $99.99 and will also have a LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS: MERLOK 2.0 companion app to go along with it. Leg Godt has images of the two sets while TV Insider has images of some of the minifigures including Jestro, Clay, Macy, Axl, Lance, Aaron, and a Claybot. The first set seen below is Jestro’s Evil Mobile (70316) and it contains 658 pieces while retailing for $59.99. The contents of the Christmas Scene Magnet include a small bag with the parts, a small instruction sheet, and a sticker sheet with the words Merry Christmas in different languages.
