LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Fast Approaching

Peter Reid has teased another image of his countdown to the reveal of the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109). It looks like Salvage Team Alpha Zero Nine is getting ever so closer to the door in the Arcadia but what is behind it still remains to be seen. Could the team be face-to-face with their enemies or will they find the Exo Suit behind the doors. The teasing is torture for a lot of us but I’m guessing that the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) could be revealed at Brick Fiesta this weekend in San Antonio, TX. I may be way off but it certainly seems like it considering the amount of steps the Salvage Team has to the door compared to how many days left until the convention.

LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Reveal Countdown Continues

The next part of what appears to be the countdown to revealing the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) has appeared online and this part even includes a video to go along with it. The image and video shows a couple members of Salvage Team Alpha Zero Nine with a little turtle-looking robot responding to a distress call. The message also mentions of heavily-armed beings outside of where the team is located and they can’t “outrun them on foot.” What if they could outrun them riding the Exo Suit? Hmmmm. As the video fades out, you can also see the LEGO Ideas logo in the static.

From what we’ve seen so far, the Exo Suit (21109) set will have something to do with the Classic Space theme and it may include numerous minifigures. Anticipation is brewing and these short teasers are an awesome marketing tactic by everything that’s involved with the project. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Salvage Team behind those doors.

LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Reveal Countdown

It looks like Peter Reid and LEGO has started their countdown to officially revealing the new LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109). Peter has released an image showing a message that says “Report in 24hrs” (as of yesterday). Even the LEGO Ideas Facebook Page has posted the image so it’s imminent that something is coming in the very near future. Hopefully, it a awesome marketing strategy with small reveals everyday until it is fully revealed at the end.

Later this month, Peter will be at the launch event at the Bluewater LEGO Store in the UK. There’s no word on whether the Exo Suit will be available for purchase at the event.

LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Launch Event in UK on July 26th

The English version of the European July/August 2014 Store Calendar is now available which has some of the same offers we reported earlier this week. This particular version looks like it is the UK version and there’s one additional thing on the list of events that is worth mentioning. That event is the meet-and-greet with Peter Reid, the creator of the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109), at the Bluewater LEGO Store on July 26th from 12-4pm. There’s no mentioning whether if the Exo Suit will be available for purchase during the event or not but we do know that it will be available for us in the States in August with an estimated retail price of $34.99. Alatariel Reveals LEGO Ideas #008 Research Institute (21110)

The upcoming LEGO Ideas #008 Research Institute (21110) has been finalized by LEGO and Ellen Kooijman, aka Alatariel Elensar, has shared the first official images and her thoughts of the new set on her blog. From the looks of it, LEGO has recreated many of the features that the original design had on the LEGO Ideas project. The set will be avaialble in August and will probably retail for $19.99.

LEGO 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor by Marcos Bessa

(Ghostbusters) 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor

I don’t usually feature many MOCs on here but this one is worth noting. While developing the LEGO Ideas Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108), LEGO designer Marcos Bessa also created the original 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor in which the Ecto-1 is based on by making a few minor changes. If you have the Ecto-1 set, you can easily modify yours to make it a normal looking car by swapping out the colors to your specifications and removing the greebles on top of the car. LEGO Ideas LEGO Lightsabers Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The LEGO Lightsabers: Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker project by Scott34567 has become the latest project to hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. This project was first submitted in 2012 and consists of two brick-built lightsabers with a display stand. The set takes on the recognizable look of Luke and Vader’s lightsabers from Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi. Scott34567 also claims that the hilts are sturdy enough to bring to convention crowds. They would definitely make great accessories for San Diego Comin Con.

The project now joins Assault on Wayne Manor, Invisible Hand, and X-Men: X-Mansion as the ones that are currently qualified for the second LEGO Ideas Review Stage. The Labyrinth Marble Maze now becomes the highest supported project on LEGO Ideas.
