Exciting LEGO Announcement This Friday

LEGO has announced that in 4 days on Friday, September 19th, they will be “revealing something very exciting. Let the guessing game commence!” The picture, seen above, has a test card pattern which may give an indication of what this reveal could be. Test card patterns are often used as when there is no programming being broadcasted on a TV channel.

If I were to guess what the reveal is on Friday, it will be the results for the first LEGO Ideas review. We’ve been waiting a while for the results and it seems like the right time to reveal the set. There are a number of very good projects including LEGO Bird Project, Modular Apple Store, BTTF – Jules Verne Train, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory. and Doctor Who and Companions but the projects that kind of correlate to the image are The Big Bang Theory and the two Doctor Who projects. Since they are both television shows, it would make sense that a test card pattern would be used somehow.

I suspect that each day, LEGO will be posting another image to countdown to Friday so stay tuned. What do you think this reveal is all about?

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes 2015 Set Minifigure List

Just2Good on Eurobricks has found preliminary images of the new LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes 2015 sets on a German website. Unfortunately, those images are marked with the confidential label so we won’t post any of here. However, we can tell you some more details of the minifigures that will be included in the sets. The boxes also have a shiny new Justice League logo as well. These new 2015 DC Comics Super Heroes sets also have a new gimmick called a “Super Jumper” which is a piece that launches the minifigures in the air. You can see the piece right below Green Lantern’s jet here. Note the minifigures listed are from preliminary images so they are subject to change.

LEGO Toys R Us Bricktober 2014 Mini Modular Sets Available for $19.99

Toys N Bricks is reporting that the new LEGO Toys R Us Bricktober 2014 Mini Modular sets are being stocked on shelves and being sold individually. As you can see from the image above, they are going for $19.99 each which is a little high but what can you expect from Toys R Us.

In previous years, these Bricktober exclusive sets are usually free with a minimum purchase of around $60 or so but it looks like you can save some money but purchasing the sets directly now. It may behoove you to check out your local Toys R Us to see if your stores are stocking the Mini Modular sets for sell.

Some LEGO Seasonal Christmas Baubles Revealed

LEGO Seasonal Log Cabin Christmas Bauble (850949)

The past week or so, we’ve been revealing some Seasonal items that LEGO will be releasing during the holiday season and it’s never too early to talk about Christmas items including the Christmas Reindeer (40092) and the Santa Set (850939). We can now report there will also be some new LEGO Seasonal baubles that will also be available in a few months. One of the new baubles is the Christmas Log Cabin (850949) which contains 45 pieces. The other new one that has been found is a little Cat (850950) which has 34 pieces. There’s no word on the pricing for these LEGO Seasonal Christmas baubles but they usually retail for $7.99 each at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home. Stay tuned for more baubles being revealed as we get closer to the holidays.

LEGO Toys R Us Bricktober 2014 Mini Modular Official Images

Last week, we reported on the Toys R Us LEGO Bricktober 2014 promotional sets that will be happening during the month of October. LEGO has revealed the official images of the four Toys R Us Bricktober 2014 mini modular sets. There’s no word yet on how much you have to spend each week of the promotion but judging from previous years, it’ll probably be at least $60 per week to get each set. In addition to seeing clearer images of the sets, we also get to see the piece count for each set as well.
