LEGO Creator 2015 Rumored Set List

Has all of the LEGO 2015 news today exhausted you yet? If not, here’s some more. CM4Sci on Eurobricks has reported a list of some rumored LEGO Creator 2015 sets. Same as usual, the information is from “David Thomsen” and the pricing is in NZD.

There’s nothing too special about these sets but one observation is the Toy & Grocery Shop that is listed will probably be like the Bike Shop & Café (31026) where you get a couple of small modular buildings.

LEGO Creator Winter Village Santa’s Workshop (10245) Officially Revealed

The newest addition to the LEGO Creator Winter Village theme, Santa’s Workshop (10245), has been officially revealed at Bricks by the Bay 2014. We first teased an image of the set back in May and now we get to see clearer images of the set. Santa’s Workshop will be available for LEGO VIP members starting September 17th and to the general public on October 1st. Check out the images and the press release below.

Update: If you’re wondering why one of the reindeer isn’t Rudolph, Marcos Bessa explains:

Rudolph is actually a trademarked character that I couldn’t include in the set, but there’s a spare round transparent red plate that you can use to do the magic!

New Summer 2014 Sets Now Available at LEGO Stores

The new LEGO Creator MINI Cooper MK VII (10242) is now available for VIP members so I decided to take a stroll over to my local LEGO Store in Fashion Valley to take a look at it. From what I saw, it seems to be a really popular set at they were flying off the shelves. I was told that their stock may not last through the weekend although there will be more coming in after.

Another cool thing that I saw at the store was that the summer 2014 wave of the LEGO Star Wars sets are now available including the MTT (75058). I almost pulled the trigger when I saw the Mos Eisley Cantina (75052) and the AT-AT (75054) but I held off because I’d rather have the MINI Cooper Polybag (40199) instead of the Flashback Shredder minifigure but that’s my personal preference.

Finally, the other new thing that I saw at the store was the summer 2014 wave of Legends of Chima. You may notice after looking at the image below that, the Ultrabuild/Constraction sets are not there. From our report back in May, the Ultrabuilds will not be available in North America. Some people didn’t believe the rumor when I presented it but that piece of information came directly from LEGO so there you have it. LEGO Creator MINI Cooper MK VII (10242) Now Available for Pre-Order

The new LEGO Creator MINI Cooper MK VII (10242) is now available for pre-order for LEGO VIP members. The set will also be available at LEGO Brand Stores in the morning when the stores open. As a reminder, you can still get the LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Flashback Shredder (5002127) polybag until Sunday, July 20th. You can also get the LEGO Creator MINI Cooper MK VII Polybag (40109) with your purchase of the regular MINI Cooper. Remember that you have to be logged in with your LEGO ID to purchase the set. LEGO Creator Mini Cooper MK VII Polybag (40109) Instructions Found

LEGO Creator MINI Cooper MK VII Polybag (10242)

There are some new instructions on LEGO’s database of a new polybag that will probably be released as a gift with purchase item later this year, possibly in August, the LEGO Creator Mini Cooper MK VII Polybag (40109). It looks to have a similar size to the Mini Volkswagen T1 Camper Van Polybag (40079) which is a miniature-sized version of the 10220 set.

The larger MINI Cooper MK VII (10242) will be available for LEGO VIP Members at brand stores and on Shop@Home from July 18-31 and to the general public on August 1. The set will consist of 1,077 pieces and retails for $99.99.

LEGO Creator Balloon Cart (40108) Polybag Review

During the better part of June, LEGO Stores and Shop@Home will be giving out the LEGO Creator Balloon Cart (40108) polybag as part of the June 2014 gift with purchase promotion. The set consists of 66 pieces and it is free with purchases of $75 or more.

Minifigures

There are two minifigures in this little polybag, the balloon vendor and a young boy. The vendor wears your old-style uniforms that you would have seen back in the day. He wears a red tie and a grey striped vest with a pocketwatch in one of the pockets. He only has a single-sided head with a happy expression and wears a red hat.

The boy has a red shirt on with dark blue sleeves The shirt has some sort of design on it. Not sure what it is but it’s interesting. He also has dark blue short legs. One nice thing that he has is the double-sided head. On one side, he is extremely happy to get a balloon. On the other opposite side, he is sad and is even shedding a tear, probably due to the fact that his balloon flew away or wasn’t given one.

Build

The first thing that you see after you finish building the balloon cart is that it is very colorful. There are four balloons in the set: orange, red, lime green, and medium azure. One More Week for LEGO Balloon Cart Polybag Promo

This is just a reminder that you only have about a week left to make your purchases at the LEGO Store or Shop@Home if you want to get your hands on the FREE promotional LEGO Creator Balloon Cart (40108) polybag. According to the June 2014 Store Calendar, it states you have until June 15th to get one with purchases of $75 or more. However on Shop@Home, it says the end of the promotional period is actually June 22nd or while supplies last (see below).

A reason for the date difference could be because the stores are being just cautious since some promotional polybags run out very quickly like the Martian Manhunter back in March. I would suggest calling the stores after tomorrow if you’re planning to head out to the store to ensure they still have some in stock to give away. Most stores will still continue passing them out even past the date stated on the calendar. If they are out, you still have at least a week before the promotional period ends to get your orders in.
