Reminder BrickLink Designer Program Crowdfunding Restarts August 3 at 12pm PST

If you have forgotten, here’s a reminder that the continuation of the first round of crowdfunding for the BrickLink Designer Program will be starting up again on August 3. There will be four sets that will be made available again which include Great Fishing Boat, Pursuit of Flight, Sheriff’s Safe, and Kakapo. The reason for this is that the Castle in the Forest somehow had 10,000 orders go through and to make it fair, BrickLink is allowing the other projects to do so as well. This also means that the Castle will not be taking any more pre-orders since it already hit 10,000. BIONICLE Legends and Particle Accelerator have already been eliminated so they won’t be up for pre-orders as well. Crowdfunding will start again at 3pm EST/12pm PST so get you fingers ready.

LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) Official Images

The official images of the LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) gift with purchase set are now online and we can see up close what it looks like. The set has 330 pieces and you can get for free with purchases of $200 or more. There will be two promo periods that are set up for it. VIPs will get first dibs on it from August 1-3 and the general public can get it from August 4-29.

The set didn’t stray away too much from Yan Chevalier’s design too much and it pretty much kept all the main features on it including the splashing pair of dolphins. The price threshold is tied for the highest purchasing requirement but luckily the summer 2021 sets will be available so it won’t be too difficult to hit the limit.

LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) Promo Set Revealed

Earlier today, the August 2021 LEGO Store Calendar was published and in it we can also see the upcoming LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) promotional set. It was announced as the winner of the Build that Holiday building contest a year ago and we finally get to see what it looks like.

The build pretty much maintains the original look from yc_solo down to the dolphins jumping out of the water. The promotion will run from August 1-3 for VIPs and August 4-29 for the general public, while supplies last, and it will require a $200 purchase. I believe this is one of the largest, if not the largest purchase requirement, I’ve seen for a promo item in many years and will most likely carry a hefty aftermarket price.

LEGO Ideas Home Alone McCallister’s House (21329) Rumored Details

There’s a new rumor about the next LEGO Ideas set to be released and it is said to be the Home Alone McCallister’s House (21329). Coming from brick_clicker on Instagram, it is said the set will have a late September release with a $100 price point. The original project proposed the maximum of 3,000 pieces and it included a full house but if the price point is true, there was some compromise to keep the price reasonable. It may just end up being a facade of the house with the back open to show the details inside similar to 123 Sesame Street (21324). Again these are only rumors until LEGO officially announces it, whenever that is.

LEGO Dream Holiday Sailboat (40487) GWP Rumored to be Coming in August

Last year, LEGO announced that the Sailing Ship Adventure by yc_solo won the fan vote for the LEGO Ideas Build that Holiday contest which will become a future gift with purchase set. It is now rumored that the set will be coming out in August and it will be called the Dream Holiday Sailboat (40487).

There are any details of it yet until the August LEGO Store Calendar comes out, most likely next week, but it is said that it will require a 200€ purchase to get it. Hopefully it won’t cost an arm and a leg to get it as LEGO has been getting up there in purchase price requirements for some items.

LEGO Ideas Seinfeld (21328) Now Available for VIPs on LEGO Shop

The LEGO Ideas Seinfeld (21328) is now available for VIPs on the LEGO Shop. The set has 1,326 pieces and retails for $79.99 and it features Jerry’s apartment along with minifigures of Jerry Seinfeld, George Costanza, Cosmo Kramer, Elaine Benes and Newman. For those who don’t have a VIP account, it’ll be available to the general public on August 1.

LEGO Ideas Tree House (21318) Amazon Sale – July 2021

The LEGO Ideas Tree House (21318) is currently on sale for 15% off on Amazon. It is now priced at $169.99 which is $30 off the normal retail price. It has been rumored that the Tree House will be retiring at the end of 2021 so now would be a good time to pick it up if you’ve been holding off on it. This set doesn’t go on sale that often on Amazon either. Keep in mind that double VIP points is still going on at the LEGO Shop and you can get some good promos out of it as well.
