LEGO Star Wars 2015 Advent Calendar (75097) – Day 1 Review

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Advent Calendar (75097)

Every year at this time, it’s been a tradition of me doing the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendars. The calendars are pretty special to me as they are one of the first reviews I’ve done on The Brick Fan since getting back into LEGO. This year is no different as I have the new LEGO Star Wars 2015 Advent Calendar (75097). It consists of 292 pieces and retails for $39.99. It is currently sold out at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home. I warned readers to pick it up as soon as possible when it became available in August/September because they tend to sell out by this time.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens 2016 Official Set Images Revealed

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Battle on Takodana (75139)

There are now new official images of the some of the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens sets coming out of The Entertainer toy shop. The first set is the Battle on Takodana (75139) which includes a new Kylo Ren with a removable mask and an actual face of the character. Finn is also included in the sets and this is a cheaper set to get him in. There’s also the Maz Kanata minifigure that we briefly saw a few weeks ago. Finally, there are a couple of First Order Stormtroopers.

The other The Force Awakens set that we can now legitimately show images for is the Resistance Troop Transporter (75140). This set includes an older General Leia minifigure along with Admiral Ackbar and two Resistance Soldiers. The previous images for this set had the dish stands that haven’t been removed with editing software so I didn’t post it back then to please the legal gods.

Thanksgiving is here and it’s a day to give thanks and to reflect on what we have. For some of us, we’re also waiting for Black Friday shopping. How about getting something for free sound? One of our readers has generously donated three (3) LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens C-3PO (5002948) minifigure polybags and I’m doing a giveaway to three lucky people. I know some people didn’t get a chance to get this particular minifigure due to various reasons but you can try to win one here.

Like with all my other giveaways, I’ll be using Rafflecopter and the winners will be randomly chosen by the widget. I’ll let the giveaway run for a week so if you want in on it, just do the tasks below. Thanks again to Pedro for sending them in. Good luck to everyone and have a happy holiday.

LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales Coming to DVD on March 1

LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales

Earlier today, LEGO announced that LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales will be released on DVD on March 1, 2016. Droid Tales was a five-part series on Cartoon Network that is a retelling of the Star Wars saga told from the eyes of C-3PO and R2-D2. There’s no word on whether there will be an exclusive minifigure for the DVD or not but I’m going to guess no on that.

The fun begins following the victory celebration in the Ewok village on Endor, at the end of STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI. R2-D2 and C-3PO have gathered to regale Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca and the other Rebels with the tales of their adventures that led to the events of STAR WARS: THE PHANTOM MENACE. An accidental kidnapping occurs while the droids are reminiscing, and suddenly you’re taken on a new journey that leads to the retelling of the entire STAR WARS saga, as told by R2-D2 and C-3PO! It’s hilarious and playful, packed with all your favorite interlocking characters. LEGO(R) STAR WARS(TM): DROID TALES is intergalactic thrills for the whole family!
