LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean D2C Set (71042) Coming in March (Shanghai)

It looks like we have our first blurry look at the LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (71042) set which comes from the Shanghai LEGO Store Calendar. If you remember, we were the first site to report on this set last year which supposedly is one of the new pirate ships in the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales movie, possibly the Dying Gull or the Silent Mary, and may retail for $200-$250. The calendar list it’s release for early access for VIPs from March 27-30 but we’ll see if it’s the same when the US calendar is released.

LEGO Dimensions Expansion Packs Found at 99 Cents Only Stores

A few readers has informed me that 99 Cents Only Stores have started selling various LEGO Dimensions Fun Packs for only $0.99 each. This has also been confirmed by users on Reddit. Your mileage may vary as to what they are carrying but it looks like it’s some of the older LEGO Dimensions Fun Packs as well as some Team Packs and Level Packs. Even if you’re aren’t into LEGO Dimensions, you can’t deny that this is a great deal even if it’s just for the parts and minifigures.

LEGO at the 2017 London Toy Fair

The 2017 London Toy Fair is set to kick off and LEGO again this year will be on hand to show off some of the upcoming sets for later this year. Photography is still prohibited so we’ll have to wait until the Nuremberg Toy Fair next week to see initial images but for now, we’ll have to rely on attendees who are able to describe the sets in detail to give us a tease of what to expect. We’ve already had an initial list of the rumored Summer 2017 LEGO sets already so I’m excited to see what all is included with these sets.

LEGO set 6550 Outback Racer is the smallest of the LEGO Town subtheme of Outback. Outback boasted 5 different sets in 1997, all under the 200 piece count. With two helicopters, 3 automobiles, and an airplane, Outback was no small wonder. In what would today be a polybag, Outback Racer is sealed in a thumb-punch box and contains 1 Minifigure and a sticker sheet. The only question you are left with, is will you open it?

The LEGO Batman Movie Experience at Select Walmart Stores

The LEGO Batman Movie Walmart

As we get closer to the premiere of The LEGO Batman Movie, more events are popping up at various retailers. Mark you calendars because select Walmart stores will be holding The LEGO Batman Movie Experience on Saturday, February 4 from 11:30am-4pm.

The event will consist of a free gift, while supplies last, and kids can take pictures with some characters from the movie. The event is intended for kids 6 and up. It doesn’t say which Walmart stores are doing it so it’s best to contact your local store to see if they’re doing it or not.
