More LEGO Star Wars UCS Assault on Hoth (75098) Details

LEGO Star Wars Hoth Echo Base

A few months ago, I posted some details about the upcoming LEGO Star Wars Hoth Echo Base including the set number of 75098 with a recommended retail price of $249.99 which was found over on Brickset.

I have some more details about the set from a very reliable source. The set is actually called the Assault on Hoth (75098) and it will be a Ultimate Collector Series set. Pretty much everything that was shown in the mini movie will be in the set minus the AT-ATs. You can see some of the stuff in the screenshots I took above and below. Han is also shown riding the Tauntaun as well as a small Wampa cave with the Wampa bigfig and Luke hanging out.

Finally as far as the release date? I’m not sure about that but I was told that it would be released in August for New Zealand so I’m guessing it might be a May the 4th set since LEGO has traditionally released UCS sets around that time.

LEGO Dimensions 30% Off MSRP on Amazon

Yesterday I reported that Toys R Us is having a $15 off sale for the LEGO Dimensions Starter Packs. If you don’t want to shop at TRU, Amazon has matched that deal.

That’s not all! If you’re a Prime member, use the coupon code “LEGOMOMS” and Amazon will be take another $15 off the price for a total of 30% off MSRP. Unless there’s a huge deal during Black Friday, I don’t see it going down this much between now and Christmas.

LEGO Ghostbusters Reboot Licensed Sets Coming in 2016

Just2Good over on Eurobricks has found out that LEGO will be part of a licensing agreement to produce sets for the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot movie featuring the all-female cast. There was no mentioning on what will be coming out but I assume it be various scenes from the movie like they usually do with movie tie-in sets.

This report was from a few days ago but the whole LEGO Ghostbusters theme is not without controversy. Yesterday, one of the creators of the Ghostbusters Firehouse on LEGO Ideas posted a statement regarding the similarities between their project and the official Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827). I shared that post on Facebook and there was mixed reaction.

Anyways, Ghostbusters will be released in July 2016 so we can probably expect sets between May and July.

LEGO Dimensions Toys R Us Sale This Weekend

If you’ve been holding off on purchasing LEGO Dimensions, Toys R Us has a pretty good sale going on this weekend that may persuade you a little. On Friday and Saturday, one of the deals is $15 off any LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack. This includes PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U. That is a pretty good deal considering the game has only been out for a few months and is a hit.

The other deal TRU has is Buy 1, Get 1 40% off anly LEGO Dimensions Fun, Team, and Level Packs. This includes all the expansion packs that have been released so far including the Doctor Who Level Pack and others that were released a few days ago. This offer cannot be combined with the previous offer. If you want to do both offers, just make separate purchases.

Expo LUG Brasil 2015

New LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu Image Revealed

LEGO Ninjago Skybound

Earlier today, the LEGO Ninjago Facebook Page posted a new image of what we can expect in 2016 for LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu with the animated series and sets. As you can see, the Ninjas are indeed going up against a band of Pirates as was teased back at San Diego Comic Con. You can see some of the Pirates including the main villain Nadakhan who is a Djinn that wants to turn people’s wishes into nightmares.

There are also some set descriptions for the sets that will be coming out in the beginning of the year.

The Jetsons Coming to LEGO Dimensions?

LEGO Dimensions The Jetsons

Here’s some interesting LEGO Dimensions news that may provide hints to future expansion packs. One of my followers on Twitter tweeted out the image above to me a few hours when they were playing the game. They were using the TARDIS and the Simpsons Level Pack but the most noticable thing is the setting. If you’ve ever watched The Jetsons before, you would know that the building in the background shows the Little Dipper School where Elroy Jetson attends for space history, astrophysics and star geometry.

Could this mean that The Jetsons will be making an appearance in LEGO Dimensions sometime in the future? Given that LEGO has a license deal for Scooby-Doo sets which is part the Hanna-Barbera as is the Jetsons, it does suggest we might see the family in some way in the future. What do you guys think?

Credit to BricksByMind for the image.

Update: Apparently Bedrock from the Flintstones also make an appearance as well. You can check that out starting at 3:00 in the video below.
