Jurassic World 2 Scheduled for 2018 Release

A little earlier today, Universal announced that Jurassic World will be getting a sequel and is scheduled to be released on June 22, 2018. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be returning as the stars of the movie while Steven Spielberg will again be the executive producer. Jurassic World opened in theaters last month and has become the third highest grossing movie all-time passing The Avengers.

LEGO also released some setsicon to go along with the movie but currently there is a shortage of inventory and a majority of them have been out of stock due to the popularity of the first movie. Although not guaranteed, it’s almost safe to say that we can assume that there will be LEGO Jurassic World 2 sets coming in 2018 as well.

More LEGO Dimensions Expansion Packs Alternate Builds Revealed

LEGO Dimensions The Simpsons Level Pack (71202)

LEGO Dimensions has revealed some more of the alternate builds for a few of the upcoming expansions packs. As we know by now, all the builds will be able to be taken apart and built into another vehicle or gadget to use in the game. As you can see above, Homer’s car in the The Simpsons Level Pack (71202) can be built into the SubmaHomer which is a submarine and a hovercraft called the HomerCraft.

LEGO Dimensions Jurassic World Team Pack (71205)

For the Jurassic World Team Pack (71205), the velociraptor doesn’t change that much from the original build but it is able to be built into a Venom Raptor and a Spike Attack Raptor.

The release of LEGO Dimensions is just little over two months away with very much interest and hype. From what I saw at SDCC, kids really enjoyed playing the game and to have physical sets to go along with the digital world, is a great combination.

LEGO City Space Utility Vehicle (30315) Polybag Found at Target

If you missed out on this month’s recently ended LEGO City Space Utility Vehicle (30315) promo at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home, your next solution may be at Target. One of our readers has notified me that they have seen a lot of the polybags available at his local Target. I was also told that the DPCI# is 204-00-0291 which is the same code they use for a lot of polybags and minifigures that are sold there so it’s hard to use a tracker to check their inventory. The only way to know if a store has it is to go there and look around. You mileage may vary. Thanks to Kevin for the heads up.

Watch the LEGO Ninjago San Diego Comic Con 2015 Panel

LEGO Ninjago SDCC 2015 Panel

Earlier today, LEGO has updated the LEGO Ninjago panel from San Diego Comic Con 2015 to YouTube. I’ve done a recap of the panel but if you want to experience it yourself, you can watch the 43 minute video below. The panel includes the design team for Ninjago which includes Tommy Andreasen (senior creative manager, The LEGO Group), Dan Hageman (writer, Ninjago TV series), Kevin Hageman (writer, Ninjago TV series), Keith Malone (content development director, The LEGO Group) Simon Lucas (creative lead, LEGO Ninjago), and Maarten Simons (senior designer, LEGO Ninjago) and was moderated by Brian Bowler (marketing director, The LEGO Group).

As for those who have been asking what will be happening next season of Ninjago, the panel does give you some hints on who the villain will be. Not mentioned in the video, but there were lanyards given out to attendees which may suggest that next season will revolve around Pirates. The only bad thing about these videos is that they do not include the exclusive clips that were shown at that time.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes The Joker Bumper Car (30303) Polybag Review

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes The Joker Bumper Car (30303)

One of the best LEGO polybags in 2015 in my opinion has to be the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes The Joker Bumper Car (30303). We first heard about it back in December but there’s been an issue of it being publicly available for purchase. First it was on Toys R Us’ website but then it was taken down then there were rumors or it showing up at Target but that never happened, to my knowledge. As of this point, the only places I’ve heard of the polybag being available, besides eBay or BrickLink, was during the Daily Mail promotion, at a select few Toys R Us stores, and currently at LEGOLAND parks. It contains 47 pieces and normally retails for $3.99.

As an eBay Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

Minifigure

The only minifigure in the polybag is Joker himself. This version of the Joker has been in three previous sets so it isn’t that hard to find him but this polybag is easily the cheapest way to get him in a set. He wears his iconic purple suit with a green vest on the inside. He has a double-sided white face paint with a sinister smirk on one side and evil grin on the other. To finish his look, he has his green hair. THe Joker’s accessory is a pie.

Build

The bumper car build is pretty simple but is easily recognizable. It uses some clever SNOT building techniques to create the bumper areas. What’s nice is that it also has some wheels … Continue
