The LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) has finally been given the “Retiring Soon” tag on Shop@Home
. At the end of last month, I reported that Peter Reid’s set would be decomissioned, aka stopping production, and today the tag has been applied to it. There’s no word on the official date when the Exo Suit will be completely gone but it won’t be too long. Plus there’s still time to take advantage of the Double VIP Points event so get it while you can.
The LEGO BIONICLE Facebook Page has posted a behind the scenes video on the making of the LEGO BIONICLE Gold Masks that were first displayed at New York Comic Con last year. It looks like they are giving everyone another chance to win one of the six 14 karat Gold Masks in an upcoming competition that will probably utilize the hashtag #BionicleMaskHunt. Keep an eye out on the Facebook Page as they’ll be announcing the contest very soon.
Today is the last day to get in on the LEGO Brand Store only sales that I first reported two weeks ago. These particular sets are all 20% off and they do stack with the Double VIP Points event so get them while you can. You may want to call before you head out to check if your store still has them in stock.

A few days ago, I received an advanced copy of Warren Elsmore’s latest book for review, Brick Vehicles: Amazing Air, Land, and Sea Machines to Build from LEGO®. We’ve previously reviewed Warren’s other books including Brick City, Brick Wonders, and Brick Flicks. His latest book contains 256 pages fill with more than 400 full-color images and it retails for $18.99 but you can find it a little cheaper on Amazon.
Similiar to his other books, the cover for Brick Vehicles is a mix of a hardcover and a softcover where it is sturdy but is bendable. The front shows some of the builds that are featured inside the book and the back gives an overall synopsis of Brick Vehicles.
The book is organized into five chapters, the Introduction, “On the Road,” “Off the Rails,” “Making Waves,” and “Taking Flight.” The introduction is your basic beginning of the book where Warren talks about what the book is about. You also get some LEGO fundamentals that’s similiar to the other books. One thing to point out in teh online resources section, it still lists LEGO CUUSOO as a resource but as we all know, it’s been changed to LEGO Ideas. It’s probably just a small oversight.
For the other chapters in the book, they are divided into whatever type of vehicles that are featured. The first chapter focuses on vehicles that are mostly seen on the roads. The second chapter shows vehicles that operate mainly on rails whether it be trains or even roller … Continue
There’s an image floating around the interwebs the past day or so with the image seen above with people thinking it’s an official ad for LEGO Jurassic World. However, it’s not an official ad but some concept artwork by fellow reader Stanislav Ushakov that was posted on his Behance account a few weeks ago and I was asked for my opinions of it. He has also created some LEGO Jurassic World concept products such as a LED Torch and keychain. Obviously, these aren’t real products but the images are some very nice design work which shows a 2×2 red LEGO brick inside a piece of amber. It’s nice that people are showing off the above image but let’s give credit where credit is due.
Ript Apparel has a new LEGO-themed t-shirt available titled, Great Shot, Kid! If you’re a Star Wars fan, you would know that phrase came at the end of Episode IV: A New Hope where Luke destroys the Death Star with a proton torpedo from the X-wing.
This scene is depicted in this shirt by mikehandyart where you can see the X-wing flying away from an exploding Death Star in the LEGO Classic Space logo. The shirt is priced at $11 and is available for only 24 hours.
