LEGO Star Wars Microfighters 3-in-1 Super Packs at Costco

If you still haven’t picked up the first wave of the LEGO Star Wars Microfighters, you may want to check out Costco stores. They have two different 3-in-1 Super Packs available for $23.99 each. The first Super Pack (66514) includes the Clone Turbo Tank (75028), AAT (75029), and the Millennium Falcon (75030). The other Super Pack (66515) includes the TIE Interceptor (75031), X-Wing Fighter (75032), and the Star Destroyer (75033). For the fourth set of the LEGO Star Wars Microfighters line, we have the TIE Interceptor (75031). Although the ship was seen only at the climax of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, it had some impact in the movie, especially when they get Admiral Ackbar to say “It’s a trap!” The set contains 92 pieces and retails for $9.99.

LEGO Star Wars Microfighters Clone Turbo Tank (75028) Review

When the images of the new LEGO Star Wars Microfighters first came out last year for this current wave, I was a thousand times more excited for these set than the regular system sets. These Microfighters are miniature models, aka chibi-style, of their regular counterparts. These new sets have also replaced the Planets sets.

The first Microfighters set that we have for review is the Clone Turbo Tank (75028). The set has 96 pieces and retails for $9.99. The contents of the box includes a small instruction booklet, two unnumbered bags, and two loose 1×10 black Technic brick with holes.

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Advent Calendar Minigame Completed

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Advent Calendar Minigame Bonus Video - Dewback

The final stage of the LEGO Star Wars 2013 Advent Calendar minigame was unlocked today which is the stage of Tatooine. I’ve managed to complete the game with not much effort and after collecting all the ships in the game, you are able to unlock a secret bonus video that promotes the Microfighters sets. At the back end of the video (see below), there is a Sandtrooper patrol riding a Dewback. Does this mean there could be a dewback figure in an upcoming set? We shall see.

Overall, the game itself was pretty fun. It could pose a challenge to kids and maybe adults especially with the spots the items are located at the later stages. If you haven’t played it yet, I recommend taking some time and try it out.

LEGO Star Wars Microfighters Poster

While working on our LEGO Star Wars 2013 Advent Calendar post, I was surfing the advent calendar minisite and in the prizes tab, I found a poster for the new 2014 LEGO Star Wars Microfighters. There’s been a debate in the LEGO community on the subtheme. Some people like it, others don’t. For me, the Microfighters are the 2014 Star Wars sets I’m most excited for. What are your guys’ thoughts on them and will you be picking any of them up?
