LEGO Ninjago DVD Contest Winners

LEGO Ninjago: Rebooted: Battle for New Ninjago City Season Three Part One

Earlier this week reviewed the LEGO Ninjago: Rebooted: Battle for New Ninjago City DVD from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. We also had five (5) copies to give away to some lucky fans and there were a number of ways to enter. The contest is now over and the winner are, in no particular order:

Andy Isom
Seth McMinn
Laura Bouma
Michael Bradford
Brad Vondra

I’ve already emailed the winners and they have 2 business days to reply with a shipping address. If I don’t hear back within that time period, I will have to choose a winner(s). Again, thanks to everyone who entered and to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment for providing the DVDs. You can now order LEGO Ninjago: Rebooted: Battle for New Ninjago City on Amazon.

Finally, our contest for the LEGO Ideas Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108) set is almost over so you can still enter for that if you haven’t yet.

LEGO Ideas Ghostbusters HQ Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Back in March, we featured Sergio Herencias’ LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters MOC and since then, he has listed the project on LEGO Ideas. Building it from inspiration by Brent Waller’s instructions, Sergio’s version of the Firehouse is a hybrid between the headquarters from the original Ghostbusters movie and Ghostbusters II. The build consists of around 2,800 pieces and took him about 20 hours to create.

The Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters now heads to the second Review Stage and joins the Assault on Wayne Manor, Invisible Hand, X-Men: X-Mansion, LEGO Lightsabers, UCS All Terrain Armoured Transport, and WALL•E as the projects currently slated to be reviewed by LEGO to become an official set. The deadline for the second review deadline is 12:00AM GMT September 1st so there’s still a chance that a few more projects to join the fray. Congratulations again to Sergio for this achievement.

LEGO Ideas Exo Suit and Research Institute Availability

LEGO Ideas Research Institute (21110)

Not even a week after the newest LEGO Ideas sets were released, the inventory on the Exo Suit (21109) and the Research Institute (21110) have run dry. Not even a day after the release of the Exo-Suit, the amount that you could buy was changed from 2 to 1 and it went on backorder with it shipping in 30 days. The status of it has since been changed to “Temporary out of stock.”

If you followed my Facebook Page, you would’ve seen that the Exo Suit was flying off the shelves and the inventory they had were already gone by the end of the day. The rumor that the set would only have a single production run probably fueled the demand of the set even more on top of the already immense popularity of it. If you ordered it online, it’s a wait and see situation if you’ll be getting yours or not. I’ve had people comment saying that the set showed up at their house without a shipping confirmation email so there’s a chance that your order may have went through.

For the Research Institute, it is now listed as “Sold Out” on Shop@Home. If you wanted to pick up this set, it is probably too late now unless you can find them at your LEGO Store. I know mine (Fashion Valley, San Diego) will have some more coming in on Friday but I expect them to be sold very quickly. Unlike the Exo Suit, it was available for purchase a lot longer than … Continue

Two More LEGO Movies Planned by Warner Bros.

As we reported earlier this year, The LEGO Movie 2 will have a release date of May 26, 2017 and the LEGO Ninjago Movie has a September 23, 2016 release date. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has plans for even more LEGO movies in the future.

Sources say that there are two untitled LEGO animated films for Memorial Day weekend for May 25, 2018 and May 24, 2019. They suggest that the 2018 movie could be the sequel to the planned LEGO Ninjago movie while the 2019 date could be part three of The LEGO Movie. However since those dates are still four years out, things could still change. We’ll keep tabs on this piece of news and update when there is more information in the future.
