Urgent call for rookie Ultra Agent Max Burns! Adam Acid is trying to steal crates of toxic compounds from the Astor City docks for his Super Villain master, Toxikita. Give chase on the awesome 2-in-1 quad bike and jet speeder and thwart this Riverside Raid! Fire the stud shooters from the vehicle or detach and use them as hand weapons. Activate the jet speeder function to split off and take the action-packed pursuit to the water. Attach the rear winch to pull back the jet speeder, and when you’ve located the missing crates, use it to drag them back to a safe place. The new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets are now available for pre-order on Amazon UK and as a result, the official images of these new sets are now available as well. Below are the new LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy sets as well as the X-Men set. There is also a video demonstation of the Milano set from Marco.

LEGO The Simpsons Series Minfigures (71005) Found at Walmart

If you’re excited for the new LEGO The Simpsons Series Minifigures (71005), you may want to check out your local Walmart stores. I received an email by a reader named Michelle who found a box of 60 on the shelves at her Walmart in Walker, LA. The minifigures will officially be released on May 1st. So if you want to get your hands on them a little earlier, it may behoove you to check out Walmart and see if they put them on shelves on accident.

It is now April and The LEGO Movie’s The Emmet Awards have started another contest for the month. This month’s contest is called Ordinary to Extraordinary. For this contest, you just have to build an ordinary LEGO model and add pieces to it to make it extraordinary. You can upload up to four images and people can vote on them. The contest lasts until the end of the month.

The Ordinary to Extraordinary Award. – Take everyday vehicles and buildings and rebuild them into something totally crazy-awesome to help save the day! Be sure to upload a before AND after photo so everyone can see the transformation!

Jason Bateman to Narrate Beyond The Brick: A LEGO Brickumentary

According to Deadline.com, Jason Bateman has joined up to narrate the LEGO documentary, Beyond The Brick: A LEGO Brickumentary. The film will be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival later this month. The film is direced by Oscar-winner Daniel Junge (Saving Face) and Oscar-nominatee Kief Davidson (Open Heart). The film is the first official LEGO documentary and it covers everything LEGO related including conventions the fans of the brick.

LEGO bricks have captured imaginations for generations, and today, the community of builders is bigger than ever: Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) display their latest creations at Brick Conventions, self-proclaimed Master Builders create entire worlds out of the modular bricks, and a corporate design team plans the Times Square unveiling of the largest LEGO model ever created. Directed by Oscar-winner Daniel Junge and Oscar-nominee Kief Davidson, Beyond the Brick: A LEGO Brickumentary playfully delves into the extraordinary impact of the LEGO brick, its massive global fan base, and the innovative uses for it that have sprung up around the world. LEGO April Fool’s Day Roundup

It seemed that yesterday, I caused quite a stir with my post stating that I will be leaving my site at the end of the month. It seems that I couldn’t fool some of you guys. I am happy to announce that I will not be leaving The Brick Fan and will be continuing what I’ve enjoyed doing for the past two years. To those who thought I was really leaving, I’m very sorry for pulling that joke on you. There were quite a few comments left on the post as well as on Facebook from a number of fans and I was touched that many of you really enjoy coming to the site. As a result of this joke, I will be doing another giveaway in the very near future! Stay tuned for that.

In other LEGO April Fool’s Day news, there were a quite a few sites in the community that also did their own thing. If I missed anything, let me know in the comments and I’ll add it to the list below.

LEGO announced on their Facebook Page that for one day only, all orders that were placed will be delivered by a real turtle and shipping times would vary.

Toys N Bricks announced that they were going to be focusing on other construction toy companies.
