At the beginning of the year, LEGO released some new LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs including the Resistance Trooper Battle Pack (75131). This particular one consists of 112 pieces and retailed for the usual $12.99 price point. The contents of the box include two un-numbered bags and the instructions.
Last month, we first saw an image of the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man vs. The Venon Symbiote (30448) polybag show up online. Fellow reader Joseph H. has recently emailed in letting me know that he has found the polybag at LEGOLAND Florida. I assume this polybag will be more widely available at other retailers later this year and possibly be at Walmart as a stocking stuffer during the holiday season.
Along with this polybag, he has also found the LEGO City Fire Car (30347), the LEGO Nexo Knights The Lava Slinger (30347), and the LEGO Ninjago Kai’s Mini Dragon (30422) there. If you’re searching for these polybags, you may want to check out LEGOLAND Florida or California and Discovery Centers so see if they have any.
We can now finally see the box and set images of the summer 2016 LEGO Star Wars sets courtesy of The Brick Show. The first two sets are based on the LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures with the Eclipse Fighter (75145) above and the StarScavenger (75147) right below. There are also two sets from The Force Awakens as well as Rebels and the Clone Wars. This year’s advent calendar was also displayed but it does contain spoilers so that’s at the very bottom if you want check it out.
At the beginning of the year, LEGO released a new Creative Building Set (10702) to complement their line of Classic sets. Upon looking at the box and the pieces that are included, it reminds me of when I was a kid myself when I just had a box of basic bricks and building random stuff with my dad. Now as a father myself, I get to pass that same concept of building using only our imagination with what is given in the set.
LEGO has been pumping out press releases today in preparation of the 2016 New York Toy Fair and the latest one is about the summer wave of LEGO Star Wars sets. More importantly, there are details of the next UCS set with the Assault on Hoth (75098). There is now official details of the set which will be available on May 1 for $249.99. It will have 2,144 pieces and will recreate the iconic scene from Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Some minifigures included with the Assault on Hoth is Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Toryn Farr, Wes Janson, Wedge Antilles, and K-3PO, just to name a few. The North American International Toy Fair will be happening this weekend and we are teaming up again with YourCreativeFriends/Brick Fest Live to bring you LEGO coverage of the event. Chad will be there and will be sending us images of various LEGO sets that will be displayed. Hopefully we’ll get images of the summer wave of Star Wars sets that are allowed.
LEGO has also released a press release for the event which talks about the Star Wars: Rogue One sets. Like I mentioned before, there will be five sets based on the upcoming movie and the prices range from $9.99 to $149.99.
Finally, officially confirmed for April release is the LEGO Ideas Labyrinth Marble Maze (21305). It’ll have 769 pieces and will be priced at $69.99 which I talked about last month.

There’s some new information today on a couple of LEGO Super Heroes polybags that will be coming out this year. For the DC Super Heroes side, we can now confirm that there will indeed be a Batman Classic TV Series – Mr. Freeze (30603) minifigure polybag that’s been much talked about the past few months. There’s still no details of how to obtain it.
For the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes side, there’s a mysterious Captain America’s Motorcycle (30447) polybag but again, there’s no further information about it at this point in time.
