LEGO Ultra Agents 2015 4×4 Agent Patrol (70169) Revealed

LEGO Ultra Agents 4x4 Agent Patrol (70169)

The last of the 2015 LEGO Ultra Agents set, the 4×4 Agent Patrol (70169), has finally been revealed by the German toy shop Spielwaren-Bludau. It retails for $49.99 and will contain four minifigures: Toxikita, Jack Fury, an Astor Scientist, and unknown agent. It looks like this set is the only one in next year’s wave to have Toxikita return as a villain character. These new sets also make use of an App Brick that is used as a play feature as well as in conjunction with a downloaded app.

Brick Loot December 2014 Subscription Box Review

Monthly subscription boxes are all the rage right now and there’s a new business called Brick Loot. This is “a monthly box filled with unique, custom and never-before-seen items that work with LEGO bricks and custom building.”

December 2014 Brick Loot

For a little back story of what Brick Loot is, it was created by 9 year old Parker Krex. He’s been a LEGO fan since he was a young child and had an idea to sell his non-LEGO toys and that’s when Brick Loot was created.

Will the LEGO Monthly Mini Builds Be Continuing in 2015?

LEGO Store September 2014 Monthly Mini Build Event

Today, I have some exclusive information about the LEGO Monthly Mini Build Events for 2015. As you may have noticed, the Mini Build wasn’t printed on the November and December 2014 LEGO Store Calendars. This made people wonder if the event was even happening at all. Fortunately, the Mini Builds will be happening for the December as well.

After that, it is very uncertain whether it will be going on or not next year. I can safely say that the Monthly Mini Build events will continue to be held on the first Tuesday of every month as usual! To create a more “premium experience,” as it was told by a close source, and to keep the crowds manageable, the Mini Builds will NOT be advertised on future LEGO Store Calendars, website, or on the door decal.

With this announcement, I expect the crowds to be somewhat smaller but not much since the regulars will probably still come whether it is announced on the LEGO Store Calendar or not. For those who rely on the calendar to see when the Mini Build events are held, they may might not show up since it won’t say. We’ll see what happens once 2015 rolls around.

What do you guys think about the LEGO Monthly Mini Builds continuing next year but won’t be announced anywhere?

LEGO Legends of Chima Frax’s Phoenix Flyer (30264) Polybag Available at Target

LEGO Legends of Chima Frax's Phoenix Flyer (30264)

Target stores are in the process of setting up their Christmas section and every year they have different LEGO polybags for stocking stuffers. For this year, one of these polybags is the LEGO Legends of Chima Frax’s Phoenix Flyer (30264).

This polybag was offered as freebies over in the UK and in Europe earlier this year but now we have a chance to purchase it here in the US. There’s no word on pricing at this time but I’ll update this post when I have details. Frax’s Phoenix Flyer (30264) will go for $3.99 each.

Thanks for Chris from Bricks on the Dollar and his follower Mike for the heads up.

The sets will be available in stores and on Shop@Home starting in March 2015.

There is also a teaser site up for LEGO Speed Champions where you can see some of the close up details of the sets. Unfortunately, the detailing on the sets will be stickers as we already mentioned before. Check out the official press release below:

LEGO Store November 2014 Monthly Mini Build Event Rocket (40103) Review

LEGO November 2014 Monthly Mini Build

Today was the November 2014 Monthly Mini Build event at LEGO Stores. For this month’s build, it was a cool-looking Rocket (40103). Not only you get the aircraft, you also got the build the launching pad and tower as well as the command center building. There are 47 pieces in the build itself and also some leftover pieces. If you were able to get one of the Rocket (40103) sets, it makes a nice display piece.

For the December 2014 Monthly Mini Build, it will be a Christmas-themed build with a mini Gingerbread House. Although it doesn’t show on the December 2014 LEGO Store Calendar, it will be held on December 2nd at 5pm local time.

LEGO December 2014 Monthly Mini Build

You may have noticed that the mini builds haven’t been listed on the store calendar for last two months of the year. From what I’ve been hearing from different sources, the December 2014 Mini Build will be the last one for the foreseeable future. From what’s been said, LEGO has no plans on bringing it back in 2015 and there’s no word if anything will be replacing the mini builds or not.

Obviously, this is a little disappointing because many kids as well as adults do look forward to the events every month. It was a fun way for people who go to the events every month to catch up with each other while the kids are building. Next month’s Gingerbread House could be the very last Monthly Mini Build ever so if you want to get one, head … Continue
