LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Plastic Man Pre-Order Bonus

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham - Plastic Man Exclusive Minifigure

Game Informer has revealed a list of pre-order bonuses for the upcoming LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. There are different exclusives for various retailers but I’m guessing that GameStop will be having the best exclusive and is the clear winner of the bonuses. As you can see from the image above, GameStop will have a Plastic Man minifigure for pre-ordering the game! I was hoping for the reveal at LEGO Batman 3 panel at San Diego Comic Con 2014 but I guess the cat’s out of the bag now.

Amazon – LEGO Batgirl Keychain
Best Buy – LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Digital Comic Book by Comixology
Target – LEGO Batwing Polybag (30301)
Toys R Us – LEGO The Joker Keychain
Walmart – LEGO Tumbler Polybag (30300)

We’ve also already reported that EB Games Australia will also be giving away the Tumbler polybag. There’s no word at this time on what the pre-order exclusives for other countries are. Alas, we’re still waiting for Green Lantern to show up some day. What are your thoughts about getting a Plastic Man minifigure? Let us know in the comments below.

LEGO City 2015 Rumored Set List

If you think that we were done for the day with 2015 LEGO set rumors, well guess again. Just2Good over on Eurobricks has posted rumored list of LEGO City 2015 sets. Again, the list comes from Russian site Exoforce.ru. If this rumor is true, police sets yet again will make their return to LEGO City and it looks like these sets are centered around the water.

Police ATV (60065)
Police Transport Hovercraft (60066)
Police Helicopter (60067)
Crook Shelter (60068)
60069 Water Police (60069)
Police Chase on Transport Hovercraft (60071)

There’s no other details but there’s enough information given to wet your chops. Again, the sets listed above is just a rumored list and should be taken with a grain of salt.

LEGO BIONICLE 2015 Rumored Set List

There hasn’t been any news on any upcoming 2015 sets but that has been turned totally upside-side today. Mesonak over on Eurobricks has posted a list of rumored LEGO BIONICLE 2015 sets that come from Russian site Exoforce.ru. Although this list is just purely speculation, comments on Eurobricks notes that the site that the list is from is pretty reliable. This list also gives some credibility to a rumor a few weeks ago (which we did not report on) saying that LEGO BIONICLE may be making a comeback in the near future.

Defender of Jungle (70778)
Defender of Stone (70779)
Defender of Water (70780)
Defender of Land (70781)
Defender of Ice (70782)
Defender of Fire (70783)
Lewa – Master of Jungle (70784)
Pohatu – Master of Stone (70785)
Gali – Master of Water (70786)
Tahu – Master of Fire (70787)
Kopaka – Master of Ice (70788)
Onua – Master of Land (70789)
Lord of Skull Spiders (70790)

The list above is a rough translation and is not the final set names if indeed LEGO BIONICLE is making a comeback. I know absolutely nothing about BIONICLE but fans of the theme may have some context of what these sets are about. Leave your comments below and let us know what you think of these rumored sets.

New LEGO Store Build-A-Minifigure Bar Elements

LEGO Build-A-Minifigure Bar

In addition to the new elements in the LEGO Pick-A-Brick Wall, the Build-A-Minifigure bar at the LEGO Stores also recently got some new items as well. Yesterday while I was checking out the very cool SDCC-themed community window, I also took a look at some of the new offerings at the minifigure bar.

A couple of things that may be new to the bar are some random torsos and legs from the Collectible Minifigures line. For the torsos, there were the Fitness Instructor from Series 5, the Hippie from Series 7, and even the vendor from the Balloon Cart (40108) polybag. For the legs, the selection included the Pop Star and Weightlifter from Series 2, the Hazmat Guy from Series 4, and the Boxer from Series 5.

A new piece that is available for the first time that I know of is the ghost shroud with open mouth. This pieces takes the place of the hair/hat piece so if you want some more ghosts in your collection, here’s another way to get some. The other new piece is for the accessory and that is the light bluish grey trophy cup. There are also capes but I’m not sure if they have been offered before or not.

Overall, there are some pretty cool pieces that are now available at the Build-A-Minifigure bar. These pieces may have shown up previously as I don’t frequent the bar that much when I go to the store but I have been informed that the Ghost and trophy pieces … Continue

LEGO DK Publishing at San Diego Comic Con 2014

DK San Diego Comic Con 2014

DK Publishing will be coming to San Diego Comic Con 2014 and Jason Fry, author of the LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary: Updated and Expanded, will be there for some book signings and giveaways. He will at the DK Star Wars Booth #2913G in the LucasFilm pavilion on Friday, July 25 from 1-2pm and Saturday, July 26 from 11-12pm and from what I remember, he will have some of his trading cards to give away to attendees as well. Be prepared for a crowd near the booth since it’s right there with all the Star Wars props and people wanting to take pictures with it.

Beyond the Brick: A LEGO Brickumentary Panel at San Diego Comic Con 2014

TwoMorrows Publishing and BrickJournal will be back again this year for San Diego Comic Con 2014 with a panel taking a look behind the scenes of Beyond the Brick: A LEGO Brickumentary. The panel will include Joe Meno (BrickJournal) as the moderator along with Oscar-nominated director Kief Davidson, producer Brendan Kiernan, as well as our good friend Tommy Williamson (BrickNerd). The panel will be held on Saturday, July 26th from 5-6pm in Room 23ABC. I’ll be there to take pictures and notes so for those who aren’t able to attend, you’ll at least be able to see what went on at the panel.

TwoMorrows Publishing and BrickJournal magazine present a behind the scenes look at a new LEGO documentary released at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year. Moderated by Joe Meno (editor of LEGO fan magazine BrickJournal), this panel will include one of the film’s directors, Oscar-nominated Kief Davidson, producer Brendan Kiernan, and stop-motion filmmaker Tommy Williamson (www.Bricknerd.com).
