LEGO The Hobbit Smaug Teaser

LEGO earlier on their Facebook Page posted an image of a code 4FYKKB for the LEGO The Hobbit video game to unlock Narzug. This code has been out for a while now but the interesting thing is there is also a glimpse of a physical version of LEGO Smaug’s wing, tail, and feet. According to some reports, Smaug would be in set 79018 where it depicts the final scenes from the Desolation of Smaug and Brickipedia has him in a set called “King Under the Mountain.”

There’s still no definite news at this time of this wave of The Hobbit sets outside of online retailers having placeholders. This is just early speculation but I can venture a guess that Smaug will look somewhat similar to the dragon from the LEGO Castle Dragon Mountain (70403) but with a repaint. Hopefully we get some news on these new Hobbit sets soon and if so, they’ll probably be released later this year/early next year.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that TT Games will again be at San Diego Comic this year. There Arthur Parsons will be doing a panel for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. During the presentation, there will be an exclusive gameplay demonstration, character reveals, and other special announcements. Also attending the panel will be several members of the voice cast of the game. Throughout SDCC 2014, LEGO Batman 3 will be available for a hands-on demo by attendees.

I will be at SDCC all four days to report as much LEGO information as possible including the exclusive reveal(s) that will be happening on July 24-25. One of these reveals will most likely be the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes UCS Tumbler (76023).

Warner Bros. LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Official Box Images

21109 Exo-Suit

The new LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) is still a few weeks away from the official release but a few sites are fortunate enough for get their review copies from the LEGO Community Engagement and Events (CEE) team already. I’m part of group of people who are currently waiting to get our hands on the Exo Suit on August 1st. However, I can still tease you guys with images of the box, courtesy of Brickset.

We first saw images of the box when the Exo Suit was first revealed but it was only a blurry picture and now we can clearly see it. On front of the box, we can see a few of the things that we already knew were going to be included with the set such as the Exo Suit, the two minifigures, and the turtle but on the back, it shows that we also two yellow barrels and a platform.

We’ll be doing our own review once we get the set is available next month so stay tuned for that.

Brickset LEGO Minifigure and Brick Review

Brickset LEGO Minifigure

A few weeks ago, we reported that Brickset has teamed up with MinifigForLife Print Studio to create a small range of Brickset branded LEGO minifigures and bricks for sale. Today I received my order of one of the male white/blue minifigures and a white 1×8 brick.

The minifigure is your standard LEGO minifigure but the Brickset logo is what makes it stand out. You get your red, yellow, and green 1×1 plate logo printing on the center of the torso and Brickset right underneath.

The 1×8 white brick also has the same printing except that the wording is next to the logo and not underneath it. The brick makes a nice addition to your name badge bricks that you get from various LEGO conventions and it’s a great way to show your support for Brickset and what it does for the LEGO community.

Overall, the printing is very good on both the minifigure and the brick as they are printed at 1440dpi on a Roland UV printer. If you look closely, you can see that the printing is slightly raised but not much. It cost me about $17 for both the minifigure and brick and it took about 10 days for them to get here which is pretty fast considering that it ships from the UK.

There is another version of the 1×8 brick in blue for sale as well as various combinations of both the male and female minifigures so go here and check out the selection they have.
