As 2017 is coming to an end, it’s time to take a look at some of the top viewed posts here on The Brick Fan. As of today, there were 888 posts that were published since January 1 and a lot of views. Here are the most viewed posts on the site according to Google Analytics.
It was an exciting time in February when we were able to see images of the summer 2017 LEGO sets from various themes which was more than what we saw at the Nuremberg Toy Fair a few weeks earler.
Back in April, new rumors came out for the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) in which I talked about some of the minifigures that would eventually be in the set.
The LEGO Batman Movie was released earlier this year and McDonalds teamed up with Warner Bros. to produce some Happy Meal toys for the movie. Some of the items were good like the cups but the other items weren’t as good.
The official images for LEGO City must’ve been pretty popular during the summer as this was the only theme to crack the top 10 list. As we know by now, the main subtheme for this year’s summer wave was the Jungle Exploration.
The Series 18 LEGO Collectible Minifigures will be coming out in the spring and it is rumored that this wave will be another themed set with it being a costume one. There hasn’t been much information about it but hopefully we’ll see something at the upcoming toy fairs.
After much speculation, LEGO officially announced the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) which has become one of the best selling sets for this year. There has been limited stock for the set since was first available back in September but LEGO has been continuing with its production to meet the demand.
In a very random entry, the March 2017 LEGO Store Calendar post was the fourth most viewed one for this year. It’s actually pretty surprising because there wasn’t much going on during the month and the promotions weren’t mindblowing.
Before the LEGO Creator Carousel (10257) was announced back in April, rumors were flying a few days earlier that the set would be released in June which it was indeed.
There were rumors that LEGO will be releasing some anniversary sets in 2018 to commemorate 60 years of the brick. It was eventually revealed that there will be a new theme called LEGO Building Bigger Thinking in which all the sets will have a collectible printed 2×4 tile included.
As one of my first posts of 2017, there were the first rumors of the new LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon. I was convinced that an updated one would be released this year as there were a number of credible sources combined with subtle hints that LEGO has given us the past year. Some completely dismissed this rumor while it also gave others hope that their dreams could be coming true.
