The next LEGO Ideas set to be released in stores is the Motorized Lighthouse (21335) which will be the 43rd set for the theme. The set has 2,065 pieces and retails for $299.99 which is tied for the second most expensive LEGO Ideas set.

Minifigures

There are two minifigures in this set, the lighthouse keeper and the sailor. The lighthouse keeper has on a blue suit with a pocket watch hanging out the pocket. His head shows him with a nervous smile. He has a telescope as an accessory.

The sailor has on a nice looking green and tan outfit. She does have the hat in a new dark green color. She has a printed 1×1 tile of a compass as an accessory.

Build

Before we start, there is a boat included with the set and this is the first time that it has been in a white color. There is a sticker on the back naming it Leda. It most likely refers to someone important to the LEGO designer or fan designer. Also included with the set is a cat companion.

The lighthouse sits on top of a rocky island structure. It utilizes a number of BURPs to give the structure some height as well to give some space for some hidden areas underneath the lighthouse. The Bluey! project by Monkey Scout is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. Maybe I’m too boomer to know what this is about and it’s the first time that I’ve heard of it but it’s based on an Australian TV show and it’s popular enough to hit the 10k goal in three days. LEGO has officially revealed the next LEGO Ideas set with the Motorized Lighthouse (21335). Releasing on September 1, the set has 2,065 piece and retails for $299.99. The set makes use of a motor to light up the structure as well as turning the light inside. Our review of the set should be coming soon so stay tuned for that.

18th August 2022: The LEGO Group has revealed a bright new set – The LEGO® Ideas Motorized Lighthouse. The latest LEGO Ideas set is a fan-inspired design, towering in height at 50cm tall – and is a unique way to add a new display piece to your home as it comes complete with a motorized light.

Full of details, the 2,065 piece set is designed authentically to mirror how a real lighthouse operates. It sits on its own island, with a staircase leading up to the lightkeeper’s cottage, plus two minifigures and their boat also add detail to the display.

The LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse is based on an idea shared by 20-year old, Canadian LEGO fan, Sandro Quattrini. Sandro submitted his original concept on the LEGO Ideas platform, where it reached 10,000 votes from fellow LEGO fans. The concept was then commissioned by the LEGO Group to be made into a real set.

Sandro, who is currently studying animation, was inspired to design the lighthouse by a childhood trip. “My mother loves lighthouses, and she has been telling me

Back in May, there was a fan vote for an exclusive LEGO Ideas set that will be released at Target and the results are now in. With 16,317 votes, the winner is the Viking Village by BrickHammer. Working Mini Golf Course – Fully Playable had 11,575 votes while Marine Life had 6,732. The final details for Viking Village is still not known yet but it’ll most likely be next year when it releases. For those outside of the US or don’t have a Target, the set will be available normally through the LEGO Shop or at your local LEGO Brand Store.

We’ve tallied the votes of the Target x LEGO Ideas Set Vote and are finally ready to share the results of this exciting and extraordinary fan vote, our first collaboration with U.S. retailer Target. The fan vote sought to give one previous 10K creation a second chance at becoming an official LEGO set based on your input.
